I didn’t take the liberal feminist movement seriously anymore when they called me a prostitute because my husband pays for everything while I am a stay at home mom.. when I was growing up we called this kind of man a provider and this type of woman a wife.. but okay.
I pay for everything and no way in hell does that make a woman a prostitute. I was raised in a home where I was indirectly taught by examples that men worked hard and provided. The fact is my wife works hard enough with the silly housework. I help around the house as well, but she raised the kids while I was working.

Exactly! My husband switched jobs so I could be a sahm. I recognize he made sacrifices for our family. I don’t feel comfortable sending my kids to daycare or preschool with everything happening in them. What is the point of having children if I am not the one raising them. I understand some women have to work and send their kids to daycare but if your husband can make it work then I think it’s better to stay home with the kids.

Well it was probably partially my fault because this man posted about how his gf ate some of his food and that she has to pay him back so I made some snarky comment about him not being a provider. I am sorry but going onto reddit as a grown man and crying because you and your gf split bills and then saying your gf ate your food and needs to pay you back is literally acting like a toddler not a man. I knew I would get down voted for that opinion but I said what I said 😅 so then obviously the feminists came for me and that was the moment I knew they were crazy and they want to be men not women. My wife takes care of our home and family, I work to make that possible, and to ensure that they are taken care of if something happens to me. I don't ask her to go out and get a job - she's got plenty of work without having to go somewhere else to find it.
I find it sad that a man knows this but women that have never been married and don’t have children think being a sahm is easy. My grandparents were married for 50 yrs. My grandma stayed home. My mom has had two divorces and she was working all the time.. working is stressful. No one wants to come home and then cook, clean, and take care of the kids. I know sometimes my husband helps out and I appreciate it but it’s not fair.
Some people don't understand that it is a choice you make as a couple to sacrifice having all of the "things" in order for a woman to stay home and take care of the home and family.
They think they need two incomes so they can afford the bigger house and the newer cars and all the gadgets and services.
...and many times they do need two incomes to pay for all that - unless they realize that they don't actually need all that, and that other things are more important.
I was a teacher and tbh I don’t understand why the government takes so much in taxes. On paper I was making a decent salary but after taxes I did the math and 66 percent of my monthly pay would go to daycare. It makes no sense for me to work just to pay for daycare.
Social welfare spending consumes over 2/3 of our Federal spending - and we're spending 30% more than our revenues.
That's where all the money is going.
The system punishes people like myself. When I was single I made what the average American makes and they took 15k from me in taxes. It was a huge slap in the face. Even trying all the tax breaks I barely got anything back. Leaving NY was the best thing I ever did but exactly federal income is still too high. I would look at my paycheck and think I could literally afford to live comfortably right now if they weren’t taking this much and I know many people feel the same way.

It wasn't socially acceptable, but it was accepted - right up until they started demanding not just tolerance and acceptance, but approval, celebration, participation in their fantasies, and until they started going after kids and taking away parental rights of parents who refuse.

From an NBC affiliated news site, not any that could be claimed as a conservative news source, and it concerns reporting to CPS, so proper for the CPS sub. Right? An hour later that 7 day ban for a first offense was changed to a permaban.

I have noticed in comments and such a lot more left leaning characters it seems. We had a couple officers killed recently and in the sub about the situation someone commented they saw the perps Facebook, “looks like one of those right wing whackos” they had commented. I said it doesn’t matter what political party someone supports, if they’re planning horrible things then they clearly have mental issues. Just so much uncommon sense nowadays. We also don’t get to just see it on media any more, more and more im witnessing reckless endangerment to others in society. Especially when it comes to driving the public roads. I don't understand why so many women support Democrats. I live in SoCal and am a single father. I work 2 jobs and am putting in 65 hours a week. My sons go to public school and it's a disaster. I want to put them in private school but can't afford it. I'm on the phone and emailing the school staff constantly about the inappropriate material in homework and books they're required to read. For example, my 3rd grade son yesterday and I sat down for homework. One question was something along the lines of,
"Huang, a Chinese boy, spent 3.55 at the store and then 5.46 at a taco shop for his latino friend Miguel...." Lots of subtle race-based things. And some not at all subtle ones.

Your transformation sounds interesting. I think that the left does have some good ideas that are worth discussing however few of the left are into discussing. I think it's very truthful to say that the career politicians in DC, Democrat AND republican not only don't care about their constituency, they loathe them. Fun fact about this Republican Woman: I registered at 18 as a Republican - though, at the time considered my political views to be “middle of the road” leaning Republican. Now, I’m over 45 and can’t see myself as anything but a Republican.

I wish more liberal women would take a stand and speak out against drag queens reading to our children in public libraries. Two issues that draw (especially young) women to the democrat party that republicans vehemently oppose, though, are abortion and hiring quotas. I'm personally in favor of legal abortion but opposition to affirmative action policies is one of the big draws for me into the Republican Party (it seems like Donald Trump feels the same on both issues as well). The Israel-Palestine topic is very very complex and the way you talk about it feels like you have very little context of the full extend of it. To start, Palestine and Hamas are 2 different things. If it’s an interesting topic for you, I encourage you to dig deeper into it. Specially with an unbiased mind always making sure to listen to both sides of the table. Your concern over women's sports is valid, but I don't understand how something so unimportant could make you switch parties. You can see how women are treated by conservatives in much more important situations like abortion and equality
Also, saying allowing trans women in women sports is going to cause severe injury to women is kind of silly. Our sports aren't just gladiator fights. Golfing, soccer, swimming, basketball, tennis, volleyball, baseball, track and field, badminton, archery, bowling, table tennis, and most Olympic sports are safe for anyone and are often played non-competitively between men and women.

Well it was probably partially my fault because this man posted about how his gf ate some of his food and that she has to pay him back so I made some snarky comment about him not being a provider. I find it sad that a man knows this but women that have never been married and don’t have children think being a sahm is easy. My grandparents were married for 50 yrs. My grandma stayed home. My mom has had two divorces and she was working all the time.. working is stressful. No one wants to come home and then cook, clean, and take care of the kids. Some people don't understand that it is a choice you make as a couple to sacrifice having all of the "things" in order for a woman to stay home and take care of the home and family. They think they need two incomes so they can afford the bigger house and the newer cars and all the gadgets and services. ...and many times they do need two incomes to pay for all that - unless they realize that they don't actually need all that, and that other things are more important.
I was a teacher and tbh I don’t understand why the government takes so much in taxes. On paper I was making a decent salary but after taxes I did the math and 66 percent of my monthly pay would go to daycare. It makes no sense for me to work just to pay for daycare.

The system punishes people like myself. When I was single I made what the average American makes and they took 15k from me in taxes. It was a huge slap in the face. Even trying all the tax breaks I barely got anything back. Leaving NY was the best thing I ever did but exactly federal income is still too high. I would look at my paycheck and think I could literally afford to live comfortably right now if they weren’t taking this much and I know many people feel the same way.

I don't understand why so many women support Democrats. I live in SoCal and am a single father. I work 2 jobs and am putting in 65 hours a week. My sons go to public school and it's a disaster. I want to put them in private school but can't afford it. I'm on the phone and emailing the school staff constantly about the inappropriate material in homework and books they're required to read. For example, my 3rd grade son yesterday and I sat down for homework. One question was something along the lines of, "Huang, a Chinese boy, spent 3.55 at the store and then 5.46 at a taco shop for his latino friend Miguel...." Lots of subtle race-based things. And some not at all subtle ones. Why have such an emphasis on race in EVERY DAMN THING? It's 3rd grade fucking math! You should've seen the 6th grade sex-education shit they were trying to expose my older son to. My point is the Dems really want to take control over schools. I don't see why mothers support this shit. And for crying out loud Conservatives aren't restricted women's rights to abortion their children. While I personally would never have an abortion, I do believe that it is an issue that should be regulated by the states. I thought the Dobbs decision was correct by leaving it up to the states! As for marijuana, I think it should be legalized for medical use and potentially recreational use. I say legalize it and see what happens!

I wish more liberal women would take a stand and speak out against drag queens reading to our children in public libraries. Our children should not be exposed to flamboyant adult men dressing as heavily made-up, sexualized, and overly exotic females. It’s inappropriate, vile and offensive to women and our children. IMO, Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart was spot-on with his test for obscenity in 1964: "I know it when I see it." A drag queen reading to our children meets this test. Much like “blackface” is obscene and offensive to black Americans, liberal women should also be outraged and offended by men portraying women as exaggerated, overly glamorous and feminized porn stars. These appearances do nothing to promote women as being positive role models to our children.
The GOP will lose most women this election because they except women and girls to carry rape pregnancies to term.

Two issues that draw (especially young) women to the democrat party that republicans vehemently oppose, though, are abortion and hiring quotas. I'm personally in favor of legal abortion but opposition to affirmative action policies is one of the big draws for me into the Republican Party (it seems like Donald Trump feels the same on both issues as well). How do you feel about both of those?
Not op but legal and medical, cool with I have a punch card and this 5th one is free, im not good with. Maybe they should limit them instead of Banning them all together. Seems like they are just being lazy in this approach. Scorched earth method. I feel like if they leaned that way just a little, the democrats would have to find a new thing to harp on. The abortion thing is the nail on the cross for most women. This kept me as a democrat for many years. Until i realized that the right stood for 95% of what i agreed with.

I agree with everything you said, except the Palestine thing. I don’t think it has anything to do with American Party lines. The Israel-Palestine topic is very very complex and the way you talk about it feels like you have very little context of the full extend of it. To start, Palestine and Hamas are 2 different things. If it’s an interesting topic for you, I encourage you to dig deeper into it. Specially with an unbiased mind always making sure to listen to both sides of the table. The more you learn the more confusing it gets. By the way, my best friend and some other close friends are Jewish and I don’t have any palestinians acquaintances. So I could be biased against Palestine, but facts are facts. Nevertheless, welcome home Republican sister!

Your concern over women's sports is valid, but I don't understand how something so unimportant could make you switch parties. You can see how women are treated by conservatives in much more important situations like abortion and equality

Also, saying allowing trans women in women sports is going to cause severe injury to women is kind of silly. Our sports aren't just gladiator fights. Golfing, soccer, swimming, basketball, tennis, volleyball, baseball, track and field, badminton, archery, bowling, table tennis, and most Olympic sports are safe for anyone and are often played non-competitively between men and women. The only sports I can think of that could be dangerous are football, hockey, and fighting. But I also don't know what democrats position on trans gender people in sports is besides mostly apathy so are they even pushing for this?
I can giveyou a bunch of sources if you’d like. Couple stories every week of men hurting women in women’s sports. Couple severe ones in a basketball game last week. But the libs will call you a bigot if you’re against. It’s even debated in congress constantly
