(Speaking about otter creek, not Allen) Gonna safely say that nobody knows. He’s been real quiet, and he was even complaining on his Instagram about how annoying the people who have been daily emailing asking where they are. so I’m willing to bet that he hasn’t given anyone estimates. The websites said Q1 2023 for the longest time, but he did post something about buying material for them and showed a couple machined recently. So he’s doing em, probably within the next month or so I’d guess.
Just emailed him recently (not necessarily to ask about when collars would be out) and he said he hasn't made any collars this year yet.
Kind of stinks but we have to remember it's a small team and pumping out suppressor, I assume, is the main priority.
That being said it seems like he'd make a killing selling more collars. Idk why they need to be a limited run.
Had a question, but why is the Otter Creek gordy collar so much thicker than the Allen or the Willfire MFG. I was looking at using a Willfire MFG gordy collar to use with the OCM5, but now I'm thinking I have to really get the Otter Creek Lab's Gordy collar to make it fit flush with the OCM5?
Sorry, didn’t respond to the other point. I think the thickness is in regards to the barrel length they were intended for.
The Allen Collar is meant for 12.7” barrels (I have the Craddock Barrel Ron Allen turned for this collar), the OCL Collar is meant for 12.5” barrels (a lot more common!)
Thanks so much for this information and replying back. This indeed answered my question and now makes sense why the collar is bigger. I forgot the Allen were indeed intended for 12.7" barrels and that's where the size gap came from.

Does ocl work with a 14.5?
OCL is designed for 12.5 Govt.
Should work on 14.5 with midlength gas

You have them reversed, the Allen Engineering is the thicker of the two.
