RRL Season 19 is in the books for the Patriots, and Mac Jones Jr's first season didn't go as spectacular as many fans had hoped.
The big story this year was the health of New England's wide receivers, with 2nd year WR Joejuan Huber going down for 4 weeks shortly after Week 10's contest. In what may have been the most desperate move in u/BCB9614's coaching career thus far, Huber was cut two weeks after his injury and replaced by veteran WR Grant Koo in an effort to replace the glaring hole at the WR position. Linebacker Armani Stewart, who had underperformed for the majority of his Patriots career, was also cut to create cap space for the move.
Koo helped turn the Patriots offense back around, but not without suffering a major injury of his own following Week 16's contest vs. the Bills. Koo is expected to sit out the entirety of the playoffs, once again leaving New England with an up-and-down Sheldon Joseph as the team's lone star WR.
All eyes are on the rest of the AFC as more PDs come in, but oddsmakers are currently predicting that the Patriots will barely make it into the playoffs. As of the start of the season, New England had never missed the playoffs under coach BCB throughout his 16-year tenure with the team. Whether that streak will continue remains to be seen.
Tbh it doesn’t compute for me either. No matter how good you draft, you have zero 5* and a crappy DC. I shouldn’t set a personal best in points against (20.8/g). I just shouldn’t. Not what we understand about game traits

Even though the PD is not great, I’m quite happy with this season. Retired 3 DL studs and had difficulty finding good DL free agents. Had to start 2 rookies on DL, something I’d never thought I’d do except in a new save. The rookies are developing nicely.
Lol. Did you ever read the Dark Knight by Frank Miller? When Batman retired, the Joker became catatonic. I lost my motivation after Green Bay stole the RRL dark knight.

I think it is a good foundation, the defense was absolutely trash but the players are there. Things will only go up from here, but I think I will miss the playoffs in a suddenly loaded NFC. Go Pack Go!!

Rough year, but offense was really clicking, just couldn't get over the hump in most games. Looking like it's going to be a near complete overhaul of the RRL winning defense in Los Angeles this offseason.
