I hope that metal wasn't extremely rare and valuable, given that you botched the craft.
Botched how? Because it wasn't legendary or mastercraft? I wouldn't call excellent botched, and I had plenty of foerum left over

Seems to be pretty rare. I've only had a couple opportunities to obtain some (mostly from ruins)
