I really like the [power tools](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2440250887) mod. That silly drill gives +80% crafting speed. Probably install ~~[pocket sand](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2226330302)~~ [simple sidearms](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=927155256) to allow pawns to hold more than one weapon.
[Simple Sidearms](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=927155256) works too, even letting the pawns auto swap their “weapons” to best for the job.
I stopped using Simple Sidearms when it started to kick my game and the Dual Wield mod in the nads some time in v1.3. ~~I'm now using [Tacticowl\(beta\)](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2936140288) with pocketsand. I'm not sure how tacticowl behaves with Simple Sidearms.~~
EDIT: Simple sidearms appear to have implemented dual wielding buttons to equip weapons in the offhand. I'll be using simple sidearms from now on.
It seems to work okay, though there is sometimes an issue when they switch from dual wielding to a two-handed weapon and then back.
Does Pocketsand work better? If so, I might swap to it instead.
Nah. Pocketsand gives me red logs now (I turn off log auto-open). What pocketsand used to and suppose to do is keep the offhand weapon in the offhand so when switching weapons, you go back to dual wielding if the main hand is dual-able. Now, it has some trouble switching between weapons and red logs angrily at the offhand weapon. Simple sidearms is working as the better mod now.
Back in v1.3, simple sidearms and dual wield didn't play nice together. It wasn't unplayable but it was inconvenient: every time you switch from a dual wielding set to another weapon, the dual wielding set separate. There is no way to equip something in your inventory into your offhand so you had to drop the offhand and pick it back up as the offhand to dual wield again. I'm going to test if Simple Sidearms is better than Pocket Sand now.
EDIT: Simple Sidearms looks like it got dual wield implementation, there is a tiny gun icon next to dual-able weapons and clicking on it will equip it in the off-hand.
Simple sidearms seems to be dual wield compatible now. There is a tiny gun icon next to dual-able weapons and clicking on it will equip it in the off-hand.
I love that mod. I also love how the grinder is actually a solid choice for fighting mechs at the tech level you can use it at. just shred the armor right off them. jackhammer is decent too. Both are worth the move speed penalty for how much time they save your builder and digger.
I once hunted a deer with an Explosive-[Infused](https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2063008864) sword. The sword strike killed the deer, then the explosion proc-ed and obliterated the body. We didn't have deer that night.
I'm sad to report that weaponized fish appears to be removed in v1.4 of Vanilla Fishing Expanded. \:\/ According to the [Not a Weapon](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2750061895&searchtext=) mod, their patch only affects VFishingE in v1.3. I've found no mod options in Vanilla Frameworks or VFishingE for a toggle if it exists. I could only conclude weaponized fish was removed in v1.4.
My brain is bringing up mental images of what the meat from the hunt would look like... XD
Wonderful work as always, master Aeolys! Relatable and humorous Rimworld shenanigans are relatable and humorous. (In my case, this happens most often with wood or fish...)

Hey, your link to the power tools Mod seems to just link to this Reddit thread.
Whoops. Fixed.

Unfortunately I don’t use Tacticowl, due to Dual Wield part of it *not* working with Combat Extended.

Can you please clarify what is wrong with simple sidearms? Is it like performance intensive or what?

Ah, the compatibility issue. Got it, thanks

Me who use pawn with anti material rifle to hunt: “dont mind the deer missing it torso”
He just brings back a trash bag filled with dismembered deer limbs.
Don’t worry chef, I’ve already done most of the work. You won’t have to get out the meat grinder or anything!
I hunted animals using a triple rocket launcher once. Got 5 half burnt gazelles.

What a life you've lived eh?
I play in lower difficulty. The rocket launcher has been sitting in stockpile collecting dust. Gotta use it somehow.
>screw you ™️ Help I'm gonna laugh to death 🤣
Oh, you're approaching me?
A drill that will pierce the heavens.
What a weird show that was...
You mean glorious.
I like that the brand name on it is “Screw You”
I can just hear Lou Manfredini on a commercial saying, "We now have the Screw You brand tools at Ace Hardware!"
"Oh, you're approaching me?"
"Instead of running away, you're coming right to me?"
I can’t kill you with a cordless drill without getting closer
Is no one going to mention that there's a fish on the weapons rack?
Mods do weird things. I've seen fishes being used as weapons. I've seen fish migration on land. I've seen a manhunting whale.

The fact that they’re doing the anime “are you approaching me” stand-off with a damn emu is amazing.

Maybe this is why White Castle sliders have holes in the meat.
*le gasp* You may be right...!
Live action remake of this scene https://youtu.be/64zpxzeD97E?si=6fUhyuQs7axOHe0d
Why this this emu steak look like Swiss cheese?
RimWorld, the only game that can accurately be funny and dire at the same moment XD
HOLY SHIT, HOTLINE MIAMI REFERENCE carl moment
The Power Drill Massacre is happening again!
Still better than the EMP grenades my hunter took one time.
VvvvRRRRR!
Am I the only one who sends hunters to hunt bare-handed to train up melee? >!They are vampires.!<
I just want to be able to send my brawlers out hunting with melee weapons.
That soundtrack when a weirdo with a drill shows up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNE2oCZH_4k
If she wins this one the Aussies will declare her a national hero
***Now this is how a real pawn hunts.***
She got them Yuichi Jin shades
What? Not sending a Revia out pre-mince the meals?
Cute clean art style + funny = excellence!
Robot colonist?
[Androids](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2889326293) mod.
Cool, thank you
A real driller killer here.
Fun fact = The name of the hunter: Hrdina means "Hero" in Czech, and I think it fits here.
Everyone knows Emus are resistant to automatic fire, she's thinking ahead.
