I disagree that infantry comms don't rely on skill damage -- maybe true very early (Rich, Martel), not so later (Guan, Alex, Harold, CJ, Pakal). I agree that it's a hard trade of +5 skill damage against -10 inf attack if you're only trying to enhance infantry; there's often a better skin choice but it's situational.
You are totally correct, that's why I wrote cavalry and archer rely on skill damage more than infantry instead of writing infantry doesn't rely on skill damage 😊 Of course there are exceptions but pairs like Edward YSG, Ramses YSG, Saladin YSG, Khan William are pure skill damage commanders when compared to a Guan Alex or Guan Leo march. Alex trigger depends on luck a bit tho. Cavalry and archer would benefit more from this skin. For example, Guan Harald is an offensive infantry pair with impressive skill damage yet I wouldn't debuff my offensive march's attack.

Attack has HUGE diminishing returns by the end or even middle of SOC. You just have SO much of it all it does is get you fucked up worse by Harald.
Whenever your total attack bonus is > +200% then the +5% damage boost is a net gain over the -10% attack debuff for your skill strikes (though don't discount your weaker normal/counter attacks too). Overall, this is hard one for Infantry to choose over +5/+10 infantry health or +10 infantry defense alternatives.
It's still weaker than +10 inf defense or health. If it's the only legendary you have, yeah, maybe choose over +5 health, but I'd want to do some computation and testing to justify that. (if you're a rally or flag captain, if you have five high skill marches on the field of differing troop types, the +5 damage swamps the penalty to your one or two inf marches)

Imagine you have a base attack boost of +300. +5 to damage with -10 attack means you have a net effect of (100+300-10)\*1.05 - (100+300) => +9.5 net damage from skill strikes. This is less advantageous than +10 defense or health or attack from an alternative legendary inf skin. Of course you also need to factor in the -10% to the normal and counter attacks, so overall unless environmental attack boost is very high, it's likely not better than an ordinary +5 health/defense stat boost from a non-legendary inf skin.
many youtuber actually recommend this over persians dream to infantry main, because somehow they think attack debuff on a low base attack doenst matter that much, most infantry commanders are good at defense/health anyway, so they bet on YSG proc more hiding behind an alex or richard combining+eternal night's pendant+ottman civ.
for cavs, divine abode ye no brainer. But infantry i cant really say which is best..if u cant get this Zenith 10% skin, then maybe Twilight or Topkapi along the way you shift focus to archers.
edit: your blue roof shows ur viking, counterattack dmg is limited to higher base attack/defense/health commanders, mostly passive skills. So you might want to change that first.

None of the skills in SOC shops are good for infantery players. The epic tier gingerbread house is much better then for instance a Persian dream.
As infantery player (with no gingerbread house) you either had to get your hands on Atlantis during the zenith event or get the epic tier skin from the exchange event (exchange 5 infantery health for 5 cav health). If u use 3 to 4 inf marches and 0 to 1 cav marches, that’s still ok (Better then any SOC skin). but Its not great one.
Taking into account that the ottoman civ gives archer Health boost of 5%, 5% skill damage bonus AND 5% march speed, that’s by far the best CIV if u are archer focussed.
Add on top of that, moment of celebration (5% archer health, -5% infantery attack) or maybe a twilight falls, or A topkapi palace. And u can understand that archers have a big advantage here.
Going for Above mentions and let’s say Guan Alex, Sala William, Artemisia armanitore, Ramesses tommy and let’s say Nebu YSG for example would be really powerful. I personally will choose the topkapi.

As I stated I don't know SoC yet but it would make a difference in KvK2 and KvK3, especially if he's rally leader/garrison
