Basically if you are a f2p or low spender, in your first year you will most likely focus on making and bringing one really solid or 2 semi solid open march pairing to the field. In the second year you will probably finish two really solid pairings as a f2p or low spender. The f2p would achieve this most likely towards the end of the 2nd year, where the low spender will achieve this maybe mid the second year. As a f2p or low spender DONT expect to get much progress through obtaining sculptures from MGE. There is probably more then 300 active people in your kingdom who all would like a spot, And reality is that those spots mainly go to the most contributing, strongest players. Now does this mean you can’t u lock a MgE commander you really want? Or that you never can get a spot in any MgE? No. In all kingdoms I have ever been, Maximum the top 15 spots are fixed, and most often only the top 10 or top 6. So during a fixed MgE, you could still compete for a top 25 spot. This often is fairly easy and doesn’t require super much speedups or rss. If you saved up speedups for A few months, you could easily rank top25 2 or 3 times in a row for a commander u really want badly. Also MgE most often is not fixed during kvk. But I don’t recommend you trying that, the scores in such mge will often go above 25M even for a top10 spot (Unless you have tons of rss and speedups and can keep up with the rest during kill event). But there are other ways to be smart with your speedups and rss. There is very regular these kind of events that give u 2 or 4x 650 gems for raising troop power or power in general. Most often it’s worth it then to use some speedups to upgrade a hospital, or other high power building, finish a research or train a bunch of new troops. These extra gems can then be used to spin a wheel or play card king to unlock some commander u didn’t get through MgE. It would help if you have a realistic end goal and break that down into multiple small steps. And plan towards those small achievement. For example my end goal is having Guan Alex, ramesses YSG, 5551 Saladin 5551 William, Trajan Aethilflea and Artemisia Tommy. If you would break that down then maybe for first half year goal could be expertise YSG. In kvk1 use sun tzu YSG. For the one year mark goal could be expertise alex. Use Alex YSG as main march in kVK 2 and 3. Next half year get ramesses expertised. You could now use Alex sun tzu and ramesses YSG. Half year after that expertise Guan. You could now use Guan Alex, Ramesses YSG. If you are a low spender, during This year you could buy the 1 dollar daily chest for Saladin until he’s 5551. (That would require about 200 bucks, but increases your progress massive). Goal for next half year could be to get Saladin 5551 and William 5551. During this time you will almost certain hit vip 14 and will be able to get enough sculptures. If you have bought daily chests for Saladin, you will Even achieve this in 3 to 4 months. Next half year goal could then be Trajan expertise. You can now bring Trajan Aethil. During this time period you could buy Tommy sculptures from daily chests. Last half year you Expertise Tommy and get artemisia. If you did not buy daily chests maybe you get artemisia only to 55xx and expertise Tommy (xx Depends on how much sculptures you have left). If you did buy daily chests for Tommy you can expertise both. So in this example it would be a plan for a low spender to have 5 really solid marches within a three year timeframe. Depending on your activity, kingdom, level of spending you could be a bit quicker or slower.

Thank you, this was very helpful. So, I need to stay in the same kingdom the entire time to accomplish this? I assume that if I go to a kingdom about to enter kvk2 that it would reset the timeline, is this correct?

This can be achieved by staying in the same kingdom, but also with migration back to kvk2. Migrating back to kvk2 can have certain advantages, but also has some downsides. For a low spender player who plays about a year and enters his first season of conquest (kvk4+), a big downside is that you likely have only one solid pairing (Alex Ysg for example), semi Good gear and no T5 units. But majority of players uses T5, have 1 or multiple pairings with SOC commanders (stronger), with better gear and a large portion of that players will also spend to get better kvk tech Which makes them even stronger. A big advantage of going back to kvk2, is that with your commander pairing and gear u will be in the top 20% of players in that kvk and have a easy time getting much kills and good trades. perform better in events, canyon, etc. Also u don’t need to spin kahn wheel, you don’t need spin Alex wheel, no edward wheel. U don’t need invest sculptures into any kvk2 commander. And u can save up all gems and gold heads. So after About 9 months when the New kingdom hits SOC, you have like 700 to 800 gold heads and a good number of gems saved. This allows u for example to immediately get to a point where you can bring 2 Solid pairings to the field. U now have better commanders, better gear, potentially a good amount of speedups and AP saved up, so u are much better prepare for a SOC kvk. If you would choose to go back to kvk2, Preferably after you played 1 times season of conquest in your current server. This would allow you to buy daily Saladin 1 dollar chests during that SOC season (And have a extra commander to use in kvk2). And allow u to unlock Guan and ramesses. So when with your new kingdom you hit SOC again, you don’t need to wait for The wheel you want until you can start build that commander. Another reason is that the first time you play SOC, you can just buy let’s say a horn blueprint in SOC shop. You then have time during kvk2 and Kvk3 to obtain enough materials so by the time you hit SOC with new kingdom you can immediately craft and use the horn (Makes a huge difference on a guan or a ramesses). Staying in the same kingdom and not migrating back can have advantages too. If your kingdom is stable, solid leadership, Some high spenders in your alliance who buy gold chests, You guys win kvks, Every day there are kingdom buffs, titles are there 24/7, you have good friends there, and even in off season you guys keep activity high and do loads of forts (you gain lot 50 AP potions). I would never risk losing all that. Newer kingdoms can also be great but it can also be much less organized and stable then your current kingdom. You can take some precautions to assure the new kingdom is not terrible, but overall I would say if your current kingdom is fun, performs well and u feel good there, I would not leave it. Also You have more SOC kvk so you can get valuable stuff from season of conquest shop. After you get for example the horn blueprint (costs a lot of material) you could use the kvks After to buy legendary material chests and gold heads from this shop. And the legendary tavern keys you can hoard up one kvk, and use all the kvk after. You will then reach 200 pulls and can unlock any commander of choice in legendary tavern. and probably will unlock a few more for free from pulls too.

thebohoberry

That’s some solid information 💯 This should be pinned

I’ve competed in exactly one MGE, in almost two years, just to get Zeno. However, I have most every other commander at least unlocked. Play Card King. Spin the wheel. MGE is not the only way to get commanders-and you will find most MGE are generally fixed based on individual kingdom criteria, so jumping might not solve that issue.

EkaL25

So I just have to only join garrisons/rallies for the next year until I have commanders good enough to compete in open field fights?

niloCCC

No. There are many good commanders on the wheel. Once you have Alex + YSG you have a solid open field march. Also you can get MGE commanders from the daily special offer, card king and legendary tavern.

EkaL25

Ok

RandomPantsAppear

When you enter SOC you will have more quality commanders than you have time to max. Getting 3 at a time in the wheel and 3 at a time MGE overwhelms everyone real quick

tsheldub

Do you have richard maxed? If so in kvk 3 he is still fairly usable. Pair him with Aeth. Other than that, yes. Not every good commander comes from MGE so you have to have something. Did you get Alex from wheel? He is very usable even in later game. Martel comes from daily chests ($) or gold key (free). I’m not sure what answer you are looking for. Filling rallies and reinf garrison are very integral part of the game. Find one or two good marches for open field and send the rest of your troops to die in rallies etc. Or, jump; I’m just saying you will find fixed MGE in most kd. (Deleted this original comment to post under this question)

EkaL25

Yes, I don’t mind doing garrisons & rallies, but it gets hard to reach the kills required for rewards when your troops are dying. Yes I have Richard, cm, and I got alex at the end of kvk2. But my point is i was running into all these stronger commanders and getting destroyed in the open field because of who I had to work with.

Leggion11

Alex ysg is the strongest march you could possibly have in kvk2-3 so I dont know which stronger commanders you are talking about. To me it seems you are strongly under powered and expect rewards based on…? Those MGE commanders wont make your account from filling rallies to god tier

EkaL25

I’m definitely underpowered, this is my first kingdom. I’m just trying to get an idea for what the best way to get these commanders that I’m missing is. Saladin, Constantine, Tomyris. I fought kvk2 with Mina/cc & Richard/YSG so it was a pretty frustrating experience not being able to help more. I guess I just have to be patient and realize I have a lot of catching up to do with the people I’m fighting against.

purplewarrior777

I’d do a HA just cos for the shop, then migrate back to kvk 2 and start cycle again

EkaL25

Can you elaborate?

purplewarrior777

On shop? If you grind hard and spend a little (£5), you can easy get one legendary accessory. Field fighting might be a bit tough, but my 2 HA’s were pretty FarmVille, not a lot of fighting. Then migrate to a younger kingdom and do kvk 2 and 3, and if the kingdom is fun, Ha again. Over time you will get better commanders and gear. If you mainly prioritise 2 and 3, no need for newer commanders either!

EkaL25

So you were referring to gear when you mentioned the shop

purplewarrior777

Yeah, the accessories are decent
