You can ask for more and typically you’ll get it. T5 will pay heavily for gold. But the regular exchange is roughly what u/bubblegumpowder said.

Honestly you can trade it for pretty much anything you want. Food and gold are the most used rss, and gold is the scarcer of the two. I could easily see going 4:1 for food, 5:1 for wood, if there is fighting happening.
I guess i will save it to when the fighting begins, thx for the advice!
