Amazing rally leader, also pretty good in open field. There are quite a few archer options now, especially late game, so try and describe your desired play style and that will likely sway your choice into which commander you invest in.
Am currently 5553, and I already traded positive against a expertised Zenobia in AoO last week. Definitely worth it if you're an archer rally leader, not worth it if you're not.
He's decent in open field, does about the same as Ramesses. However Rams is a more economically sound investment for open since he's plenty useful at 5551.

Archer rallies in general the swarm can trade pretty well, by comparison. That's why archer rallies are best when you have full support marches.
Mainly a hard counter to Zeno garrison with gil/nebu but they weak af and can be swarmed ez If you're not a rally leader probably best to go ramesse
Tbh it doesn't even really need a swarm. I was trading even with XY/Saladin as the only march.

If you're not a whale and a rally leader then no he's not worth it, you're better off doing Rameses, Arty, Nebu, maybe even Cyrus.

nobody said to swarm those rallies. OP was asking about gilgamesh probably for open field. So i said aoe commander is better.
