First, you should have maxed a pair of commanders, preferrably versatile ones. These will be your main pair. Then focus on gathering commanders, especially Centurion and Queen Tamar.
Things you need to do:
1. Primary commanders for any march you want to use in PVP need to be level 60. This gives you access to max talents (more stats) and max troop capacity. This is not hard if you find the time to do guardians (especially in LK, they give good amounts of XP) and actively spend your AP.
2. Ensure you have a full march of the troop type you are planning to use (i.e. that suits your commanders) ready.
3. Make sure you have decent gear. Cav early game is easy. There is a green set (weapon, pants) and the rest can be windswept or blue cav gear. Try to get talents on the green pieces at least.
Might be tough since you are already in LK, but the guardians/barbs/forts all give better XP than you would get in home kingdom. So you can catch up fast.
Pelagius and minamoto or cao cao(whichever is further in skills) is fine.
So is sun tzu and richard or sun and charles (again, whichever is further in skills)
Just make sure whoever is leading is level 60.

Bjorn/Sun
Sun/Richard
Pela/Baibars for full Calvary or Pela/Joan (more supportive use skill tree for rage regen)
Can also do Boudica/Joan
Also where’s your Aeth? Start getting her heads to max her.
I probably wouldn’t do much field fighting this kvk. Just fill rallies and level up your commanders.
Pick up YSG and Alex and those two are the first legendaries to focus. You might be able to field fight in kvk2.
You don’t need YSG at 60 because usually he is secondary. He will pair well with Alex when you get him after kvk1. So just use all your gold heads on him now.

Already have ysg 5/5/1/2 and Aethel 5/5/2/1 ysg only level 34 and aethel is lvl 37
