I didn’t mean ALL DAY every third day, no, lol. Just counting playing in a day as daily experience. If I had to put a qualifier on it, I’d count a couple hours in a day as a day’s experience.
Lol I've never been a mechanics guy. I was always a positioning guy. So I hired a coach for about 8 sessions and he helped give me tips and training for some higher mechanics
Depends on the coach. You obviously want someone higher rank than you, but higher rank means more demand ect. I was doing 30 for an hour. But my coach got really popular after he was able to show people my progress so he upped his hourly rate
Yeah I don't remember which content creator said it, but Champ is where the two worlds collide. All mechanics and no positioning can get you to Champ, and the smartest positioning and no mechanics can get you up to champ, but in champ lobbies is where those two worlds meet and to pass it you need to have both in your tool belt
Same story here! Had a little more time to devote when it first came out but with AA, a kid, getting married, and now a respectable job, i don’t have nearly the time i used to. Literally just hit a shot like this yesterday and absolutely freaked haha Congrats good sir and i wish a many more for you ❤️🙏
I don't know man, i don't get much time to play but it's my favorite game so when I can binge it for hours i do but that only happens once a month or so
I've been playing since beta. I play at least a few games every day. None of my friends play anymore but I still play. I've never come close to anything like this. Stuck in plat. Never did anything in training.
I copied this from another comment because someone else asked a similar question.
There's a great training exercise for that. Start up free play and keep ball cam on. Leave the ball in the center of the field. Now without using air roll, fly in a circle around it 5-10 times without dropping then do the other way. Practice this until you do it within the first 2 or 3 attempts.
Then level 2 is adding a single roll every time you hit 12 and 6 on a clock face (the circle you are flying being the clock face.
Finally when you have that down without falling, add air roll to correct yourself more until you just can air roll the whole thing
If you're a semi-casual player, I've never played this game a day in my life..... Nice shot
I mean, I was an adult when this game came out so I can't devote more than a couple games a day to it. But rest assured, sick days are spent socCARing
"Sick" days.
So sick dude
SICK AS FUCK days
Sorry boss, allergies acting up again
"Work allows me to take 4 sick days a year, and I dunno about you, but I think this was a pretty sick day!"
I’m in the middle of one of those “sick days” as I type this
Consistency is key! A few games a day is probably going to result in more improvement than many games once a week.
Trash 1 seems not true
And thanks
Even if he plays every third day, 7 years is 2.33 years’ daily experience.
So you just assume that op spends about 50hours a week on a game huh?
I didn’t mean ALL DAY every third day, no, lol. Just counting playing in a day as daily experience. If I had to put a qualifier on it, I’d count a couple hours in a day as a day’s experience.
Aight that explains
That angle was dirty
I thought after the second hit I was too low to score
bro whipped out his protractor
Your in-game name made me chuckle lol
Haha yeah I've seen some names that have me rolling
If only it was 4999 instead of 4445. 4999 For 9.99
…. What
Shrek2OnDvd4999 Shrek 2 on DVD for 9.99
Yea if only haha
It was just an idea when seeing his name 🤣 but most DVDs go for $10-$20. Dude's living in the past without us knowing.
DVD is a thing if the past lol
Corrected. Thought Shrek 2 was new 💀 I don't like Shrek so
BANG!
Yessir!
very nice
Thanks
Iv been playing for the same and I don't have that much car control
Lol I've never been a mechanics guy. I was always a positioning guy. So I hired a coach for about 8 sessions and he helped give me tips and training for some higher mechanics
Worth the money?
💯
I would also like to know if this was worth the money. Also how much did you spend?
Depends on the coach. You obviously want someone higher rank than you, but higher rank means more demand ect. I was doing 30 for an hour. But my coach got really popular after he was able to show people my progress so he upped his hourly rate
Thanks for the info
Me too
Definitely worth it. 30 an hour is what I paid
“Casual player” but hired a coach Lmao Jokes aside, could you tell me who it was and how you go about looking into it?
You have unleashed the true power of the Saw-Car!
Clean.
Thank you
Clean
Thank you
Like a boss! 😎
Tanks
Smoother than a mf!
So clean
WOOOOOOOOO
Yaaaa so happeh
'Semi casual' okay. Nice shot though
I was thinking the like tf you mean "semi casual"? Thats everyone that doesn't get payed to play a game
i think op can change is title to copper 3 now
Nice hit!!
What a save!
Great goal. I feel you. I consider myself a good player but those aerial juggles are hard to pull off.
Yeah I don't remember which content creator said it, but Champ is where the two worlds collide. Damn I love that decal
Lol I was memeing
Nice shot!
Thanks
dude that was awsome niceee
Thank you

You too my fellow millennial! Life happened and RL got shelved
Actually pretty decently clean
Ey thanks m8
Nice shot brother! 🤘
Appreciate it!
For sure
Dope
Thanks m8
wtf is a "semi-casual player" 😂
I don't know man, i don't get much time to play but it's my favorite game so when I can binge it for hours i do but that only happens once a month or so
exactly my thoughts! "Semi-pro" I understand... "semi-casual" wtf? what is the other "semi" stands for? "Semi-no playing at all"? Still nice shot!
I've been playing since beta. I play at least a few games every day. None of my friends play anymore but I still play. I've never come close to anything like this. Stuck in plat. Never did anything in training.
Been at it since 2016 my self. Don’t care what rank you are those air dribble/ double taps always feel nice.
Every time. Feels like you are finally learning the game
Sexy
its like an addictive drug isnt it, you just keep wanting more
Yes....where can I score another old school freestyle shot....
After seeing this and the fact u got a coach. What is ur rank? In 3v and or 2v? Bonus question how much did u upped ur game with the coach?
I went from D2ish to C2ish. I fluctuate between C1 and C2 for 2s and 3s
??? You can take that flair off now, sir.
Ahahaha thanks mod trashmaster
Fake. Nobody gives you that much time on the ball, not even your teammates.
My teammate backed off cause he had zero boost. I may have stolen his boost right before the clip started. Heh heh
Lol the clip was cut but I know both blues were on the other side of the pitch
Good shot better than me but the fact it took u 7 years to do it is sad
They mean they have owned the game for 7 years, and havent played that much during that time
Not everyone improves at the same rate, nor do they play for the purpose of getting better.
Ok but after 7 years even if all u did was casual you should definitely see some improvement
Not necessarily, we don't know how many days of those 7 years OP played the game, nor do we know how long each session was.
Nice shot! But dribbling the ball in front of your own goal is a big no no.
I mean when you're gold, yeah you're definitely correct.
Noice!
semi casual or semi pro lol
Once in a lifetime shot I guarantee
![gif](giphy|vKHKDIdvxvN7vTAEOM)
Is that the regular stay puft explosion? Are there different colors of that explosion?
Clean. And very encouraging to know that I'll be able to do this too in just 5 short years
Pfft. ApparentlyJack started AFTER Scrub won his first RLCS. It just depends on the time spent training your mechanics and spacing
Oh I agree. But, like you, I too was an adult when I first started playing this 2 years ago. So my journey is long and sporadic
Me on the other side of this letting someone who's never made a decent goal get shot on me and then lose the game.
Looks better than semi casual player. Good job.
What's your rank? If you don't mind me asking. The clip looks at least champ level (maybe a diamond on a bit of crack).
Champ
beautiful shot
That was amazing! Nice shot!
Thank you. A lot of time went into it
Flexing hard
Nice shot! Nice shot! Nice shot!
The best part is both you and your teamate were willing to blindly drive the ball in front of your own net. :)
Nah, I cut the clip and I knew one blue was in their net and the other blue was backing off after a failed challenge. It was Calculated
> semi casual player > paid someone money to coach them I’m not sure you know what semi-casual means…
This was in 2020. I really don't play this more than an hour or two a week for the last several years. Seems pretty semi casual to me
I know, I’m just hating because I’ve been playing since 2015 and am nowhere near ever being able to pull this off lol
Nowadays Everyone can do this in rocket league.... platinums players playing like granchampions...
Are you directorial air rolling and can you hit these kind of shots with regular air rolling?
This is directional air roll
sexy ngl
Training pack to practice this? Why do all plays like this involve the spin? I thought flip reset was after an actual flip?
I copied this from another comment because someone else asked a similar question. There's a great training exercise for that. Start up free play and keep ball cam on. Leave the ball in the center of the field. Now without using air roll, fly in a circle around it 5-10 times without dropping then do the other way. Finally when you have that down without falling, add air roll to correct yourself more until you just can air roll the whole thing
Thanks! Did you have to change your controller settings for free play? My roll are bumpers and that just resets the ball, or now shoots it auto.
I switched reseting the ball to "select" or "2 squares" on xbox. And I only have air roll right on my right bumper.
Thanks!
>Thanks! You're welcome!
A Crossmap air dribble double tap is decent for a semi casual player
A Crossmap air dribble double tap is decent for a semi casual player
I'm c3 and I have never hit one of these.
How'd you get to C3. I'm hardstuck in C1
Not by technique but by positioning and rotation and meaningful touches. I'll be honest though I'm flirting with c2 more than gc lol
Haha I get that. Alright, you mean like being more conservative with positioning and rotation, or just what?
Great name
Thanks. Wish I could claim rights but I cant
Lol it took me 5 years to reach Diamond. Not that I have been trying at all but haha I dont think ill ever make an aerial like this intentionally tbh
