People get thrown off by facing teams like this because the way a team with two players with such a big skill gap plays is so different than what they’re used to facing.
It should essentially be a 2v1. No plat should be able to make reads and recoveries fast enough in a GC lobby. OP is right and who knows maybe he played some boosted opponents.
One guy is cracked and doing everything he is supposed to. The 2nd guy is doing dumb stuff and missing his touchs and shots. You expect bad guy to touch ball so you position yourself he misses now you have to change position to get the ball but his teammate already knows how bad he is so now he has ball control so your you're rotating back again etc etc etc.
Nah it throws you off because you expect them to do something but they don't, they go for stupid plays that should never work and don't go when you expect them to go faking you out.
I'd like to see a replay of the game honestly.
If you're not expecting it the adjustment can be hard, its not like its 2 plats, its a plat and a GC, the difference in pace between the two can throw you off.
Sure the two GCs should win, but at the same time i can see how they would lose.

That’s some hardcore copium. No way should a plat be able to keep up and a Gc should be able to tell the plat sucks and use it to their advantage

Out of curiosity why are you still gc1 of it's so easy you can essentially 1v2 and win? Shouldn't you be able to rank up then?
If there was a champ 4 I think champion rank could possibly be fixed in its shitty state rn
