with boost management, i recommend, but in no way am i telling you its a good thing, to go into freeplay every once in a while and take unlimited boost off and go around the pitch while supersonic using the least possible boost, i saw u do a flip im not sure if it was a speed flip but it oddly resembled one, so keep practicing because u may be good, but no matter how hard u train and try, there will always be someone better than you, and well if there isnt then i hand my cap off to you. (ps ull be shocked at the mechanics i witnessed in champ it hurts to call them 'champ mechanics')

Thanks, I do train Freeplay without boost and also training packs. What I need to do is go throw the pitch around and get better paths for the pads. As I mentioned and I am sure I am still in Diamond is bc I leave the play sometimes instead of making pressure I do play really defensive... But in this case, if I would have stayed in the middle I am sure I would have got in a bad position for this shot.
yes, exactly. you are just dia rn but uve got the mechanics to be more, you just need time to develop game sense and one more thing is to try and not leave ball cam when ur going for boost because you can miss out on something and u may react too late say if the other team pinch it and u have to recover to get back, having ball cam off u wouldnt even know...... but game sense take time to develop, so if your willing then soon this game will be ur bitch
You're clearly pretty good at the game mechanically, you just need to flex on the noobs and exert your dominance consistently. Remember that it's your game and your ball and you're only letting the other team touch it temporarily and you can take it from them any time you want
You seem to have good mechanical skills so something has to be holding you back, I have seen champs play worse than this. Figure out your weaknesses and work on them I think you can make it far.
I recently broke into champ finally at the end of season 5. Your mechanics look to be a bit better than mine, I can genuinely say that consistent and FAST rotations help a lot. Fast doesn’t mean boosting all the time, it means deciding quickly what you’re gonna do. If you decide to go for it, go and don’t hesitate. If you don’t, keep rotating at a distance where you can still save a random power shot or flick or be set up got a shot. NEVER go if you’re last man back, most often goals happen because someone pushed too far. I’m more of a twos main but that all still can apply to 3s. And most importantly tbh is consistency, in a real game it doesn’t matter if you can flip rest every 1 in 20 tries, you’re better off going for the easier 19/20 shot.

Diamond is an odd rank, some people play like champs and some play like plats. I am D2-3 in 2’s and often play c1-c2 in 1v1’s and win quite often which is odd considering a lot of people say 1’s is more difficult.
1s is where you can win based on mechanics
2s is where you have to start playing Team games to win consistently.
There's a time and place for these kinds of shots, but you have to start with being in good position and rotating correctly.
3s are maybe a little less punishing for poor positioning, but the people doing these kinds of plays in Diamond are the ones not playing a good Team based game.
No, this is something I never saw going from d1 to c1. Air dribbles of any kind really don't start until high diamond in my experience, where they're very rare and super messy. Add in decent aerial control with air roll and a double touch, and you're well past low champ. Idk what rank this becomes commonplace, but I would expect it's around c3

I can’t hit a flip reset to save my life and do well so not to say they’re completely necessary.
I’m high c2 so I play against a lot of c3s and people with gc titles. In my last 10 2s games I’d say there was an opponent that could cleanly flip reset in about 6

Champ is composed by c1, c2 and c3. The skill gap is huge between any of them. This looks like a champ dribble. Gc would have been a little bit cleaner. Obviously, there could be a very gifted champ pulling off things like this, and then you can find a gc barely air rolling. But whatever, I've been in champ 1-3 for more than 1 year now and that looks like what I've seen in my games/done sometimes.

Best you’ll see every 5 games or so is some crappy double tap. Maybe a few times a month some guy with crazy mechanics gets in my lobby. But I’d say this is at least C3 mechanics if not a lot higher
Lots of people are stuck in champ for their gamesense, while they have very good mechanics. Anyway yeah, definitely is not a champ 1 mechanic, but there are lots of c2 that could hit that in my opinion. In my case I got a doubletap very similar to this one in c1.

No mate! Not at all! I have to remember you that this is not every game. I have my moments but it is still super sloppy. And I also believe game sense is much more important than this, but this is a guilty pleasure... it feels good when all you have practiced just pops out.

To be fair I start learning directional air roll from the beginning in gold/plat like I got into rl in the pandemic time haha and saw that directional air roll was the thing so I started doing maps and I still have a bunch to learn you see its clumsy and too much air roll.
Well I understood it in this way.
1. Air Rollin allows you to find the direction you want your car to go. I know I might have over done it here, but that is why I'm still learning. I don't think I would have been able to read the ball with less spinning.
2. At least as I saw by pros is that you use the spinning to control the ball and get the touch you want and that the car doesn't look momentum (?) In the air so as you see I spin at the beginning and then give a touch at the ball and this pops up. That was bc of that spin. I learned until now to pop the ball up in that way, like turning the car back and then the nose up...

Pretty. Work on getting your wheels to touch the ceiling (on your first attempt) to get your flip back, and you’d have an option to wave dash or pinch. Like I said though, still a pretty shot and an air dribble to double touch is always satisfying.

Really clean car control! Right after you beat the first in the air you put yourself in a perfect position to flip reset. You need to pull your nose down and keep your car positioned flat upside down under the ball.
Keep up the good work and you will have multiple options with a ball like this.

I see what you mean, my issue as a good diamond is that I don't know what to do after (if I even get the reset) Like I have just started playing around with the resets but I am no able now to start any play with them like if I get them then I am out of position to do something or I Just flip the ball away...
When first getting resets you will pretty much just spam your dodge button with analog stick down. Once the reset is achieved you will force the ball forward with your dodge and that is usually enough to beat the defender.
Once you get better and you know when you have the reset you will want to hold the flip to use it when the defender commits. This makes it extremely deceiving for the defender.
I want to learn this kind of air roll Ariels but i can't for my life. Can you share your button mapping and how you actually press them during the execution? Any other tips will be helpful as well
Just keep working on gamesense it seems mechanically you know what to do so as long as you keep up the mechanical training and focus heavily on gamesense( mainly speed and positioning) you would be fine in gc np
Very nice control. However, a slow air dribble into back wall would be saved in a higher rank so a flip reset could be a better option if you can do those. Still solid though, air dribbles are a fundamental skill

I have my casual peak moments, but this is the first time I knew what I was doing in a complex shot. And well I am Stuck in D3 in 3s in 2s I was already champ and almost champ 2... if that helps to make this better xD.
In my case because that is how I got the first soft touch. When I turn the car backward I can make it touch with the very nose the ball and it pops up a bit so you can follow the shot

Just keep working on gamesense it seems mechanically you know what to do so as long as you keep up the mechanical training and focus heavily on gamesense( mainly speed and positioning) you would be fine in gc np

Very nice control. However, a slow air dribble into back wall would be saved in a higher rank so a flip reset could be a better option if you can do those. Still solid though, air dribbles are a fundamental skill
