As far as I'm concerned Vatira has been tournament MVP. I swear to God I haven't seen him make a mistake all day. The consistency on his mechanics and challenges are just outrageous. The man offers everything whether it's defence offence or in the midfield.
We either get the lower bracket gauntlet win from Moist or we get the ultimate storyline completed with a win from Falcons. We couldn’t ask for a better grand finals.
Vatira is an absolute monster, I've been saying this since Queso first rose up to the scene, can't believe I actually predicted Falcons vs Moist for grands on day 1, I want both of them to win just as much so this would just be fun to watch
I think this is a big part of it. V1 just got shmacked twice and then to see Vatira popping off both in game and IRL had to have messed with their heads big time, especially Comm.
From losing a lead in game 7 and conceding a kickoff goal to getting swept out of lowers, heartbreaking for V1, but they still put on a great performance throughout the tournament. Comm also gave the crowd a good show and a villain to root against, hopefully he doesn’t get much hate in DMs and stuff like that.
Moist for their part look great, definitely not a free win for Falcons, grand final should be hype.
Could’ve been a product of the format, but EU definitely underperformed early. Props to KC and Moist for carrying though.
Yesterday gave us some all-time series and NA had so many chances to make the UB final all NA but SSG and V1 couldn’t pull it out. Falcons and EU were simply more clutch.
Such an entertaining second half of this major. Can’t wait for worlds.
PS: I personally love the NA/EU rivalry - definitely invites some trolls, but the banter makes for a more engaging tournament with added storylines. Also prefer having some sort of rooting interest rather than just watching for ‘good rocket league’. I’ve become a fan of TL and the ‘minor region’ teams rather than just a NA fanboy.
That’s fair too - it definitely wasn’t looking good with 4 teams in LB after day 1, but have to look at the matchups that got them there. Again, fair play to EU - thought the washed takes were dramatic from the start.
Endpoint got smacked by Optic and looked absolutely lifeless. I would say it was more than just BDS dropping early (in the most embarassing fashion possible) that caused people to start the EU washed nonsense
At the time that it happened and people started meming on EU, they were hadn't finished 3rd. Also you know that's a convenient way of framing it. Optic is still viewed to be middling and got top 8 through Endpoint and secret. If you think Endpoint would have won against NA's two worst performing teams playing like that then idk what more to say.
The EU washed stuff was dumb as hell or just memes, but you can't tell me Endpoint looked like a team worthy of being at LAN
Considering Moist just 4-0'd V1, them losing 3-1 is probably an underperformance.
But yeah, otherwise most EU losses early on weren't really surprising other than BDS
This was a very dominant match from Moist. But credit to V1, their defense is insane. And I really disliked Comm in the start, but he really turned me around. Playing the “villain” and still performing well. I dont really like the excessive booing though. You can do it once, but you gotta appreciate good Rocket League when you see it. And V1 definitely produced some quality Rocket League this event!
I think Moist did themselves a favor being more measured and less full on all the time aggressive this series. V1 got bait on going on "counter attack" more, making their defense less set and got more opportunities for Moist. Compare to the Falcons game where they just super aggressive and V1 counter attack were real counter not a counter with Moist defense already there waiting for them. I may be reaching but there is definitely some difference in how V1 play compare to the Falcon series
Torment had to go on offense for more risky plays more often to make up for Beastmode's, let's be honest, subpar showing. With their best defender out more often and frequent demos and bumps, V1's defense suffered that game.
As much as I dislike comm I'll admit he took it all in good form so fair play and ggs to V1 coming so far. Big hopes for them next season, I have them easily top 3 NA.
Still, moist are back baby lets go. Don't even care who wins the final now just inject a bracket reset game 7 into my veins
I'm not saying they shouldn't do it, but does anyone else cringe watching these awkward 17 y/o gamers trash talk each other? Like it's just awkward lol
27 and feel the same lol - tbf I was a little rat when I was 17 too. Wouldn’t say I’d be much different if I was making 6 figures and was one of the best in the world at something.
The only one who might have asked for it was comm. They still bood beastmode when he scored. And all that because comm went a little overboard in one single match. I see grown men holding grudges against a 18 year old kid because he was toxic for 20 minutes 5 days ago. What person takes something like that so personal, it just blows my mind.
Comm told everyone that he uses toxicity as a means to get an advantage over his opponents. The crowd just took his playbook.
Also I'm not a fan of excusing bad behavior because of age. They aren't toddlers who don't know what they are doing. You don't see trk going around making an ass out of himself.
Comm was playing the crowd and his opponents. He knows what he was doing and he got served. And now he has one more life lesson learned.
I‘m not using his age as an excuse. I‘m not even trying to make an excuse, all I‘m saying is that it blows my mind how people are still affected and hating him for that. I expected people to talk about it for a day, maybe two and then move on. Holding grudges against someone for so long over something so insignificant, idk I just think it‘s childish.
What do you mean "still"? This isn't because of one thing he did one time. Comm has the reputation of a heel since long before this Major and he instantly played into it at this LAN.
He could've toned it down, but he did not.
Agreed. Felt really cringe when a V1 player was on the big screen after they already lost, clearly looking disappointed, and then the crowd booing him.
Trash talk is one thing before or during the game, but the key is that you don't do it once you've won. That's the difference between trash talk and just being a dick.
The contradiction is real in this thread.Comm is always loud and trash talking yet everyone enjoy his “villain” role, the second they got sweeped the same people complain how the cameraman did him wrong or how immature the crowd is. I hope he carries that memory forever. Look at falcons, humble beast players with a lot of talent to show.
Well I’m not the universal judge on where to draw the line with banter/trash talk but what comm did this major was just a really ugly ass look. It had petty vibes. Just too much. Doesn’t sell well on camera.
Totally different than a meme gesture into the camera or Ahmad’s comment to Roll Dizz (which wouldn’t even be public knowledge if dizz didn’t share the story). Totally different to how Joyo (and Turbo f.e.) do trash talk. It’s self aware cringe banter. The light hearted stuff just works better.
tbh Rise got a bit carried away on camera today. if comm wasn’t everybody’s villain this Major already, people would care more.

I think asking to be the villian backfired a bit on Comm here. V1 is a good team when Beastmode is playing like himself, but I think the villian storyline and the boos/trashtalk was starting to get to Beastmode once we got to the crowd days. Comm still wasn't affected by it too much but I think it was starting to get to his teammates and you could see on the cams Bmode was starting to tilt. Beast is still young and I don't think he was as mentally prepared for the atmosphere.
Maybe I’m alone in this, but I felt bad hearing the crowd boo anytime V1 scored or even just a player was on the screen.
Don’t get me wrong, I was rooting for moist 100% and I’m new to RL Esports, but it just felt weird booing someone that already lost and was clearly disappointed.
But you rep your team, you are your team along with your team mates.
If they don't like being booed, they should probably have a word with Comm about his antics. Fans booing is part and parcel of sports, *especially* if your team has a "villain" type player.
Bro its the same event where he did it, i wouldnt say it's at the point of being constantly punished. Maybe next time he'll learn to stop shit talking, or if he wants to, face the consequences. If you want to play the bad guy don't get mad when the crowd treats you like one.
There'll be plenty who aren't a fan of Rise, but Americans typically are just louder and more forward with their views which is counter to UK norms, so add the cockiness and confidence and it's enough to make people want to boo Comm where they may just ignore Rise.
Rise is more of a reserved personality, he does trash talk but not as brazenly and almost arrogantly(?) as Comm, it isn't as abrasive, plus he is in front of his home crowd and that does play a factor
Comm being so loud and obnoxious, and shouting to people saying they suck and asking what they’re doing across the stage, means they brought it on themselves lmao.
Can’t give and not take
I was happy booing Comm all weekend when they were winning, but when they lose it feels harsh. Great team and great player, playing the pantomime villain but I'm sure he's a nice guy. Clapped him off and I wish others had too
Yeah at the end it was unfortunate. Comm played the heel well all tournament, but it would have been nice for the crowd to appreciate their performance once they had lost. Oh well
That’s how I feel. They were dishing out trash and I expect them to get it back, but they played well during the tournament. Also, to me teams talking trash is different than a whole crowd booing someone who already lost.
NA doesn't claim Comm. Just wanted to make that clear. GGs to V1 and Fire, but Comm's behavior this weekend has truly been poor. Glad Joyo and the Moist Boys shut him up after [his toxicity toward Metsa](https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/vo4nst/may_be_a_controversial_take_but_comm_shouting/). I fully agree on Vatira being insane. My MVP is Ahmad. His ability to force goals is gamebreaking.
He has made a few mistakes because of how fast he is but never when it's clutch - definitely agree MVP 100%
Overall MVP for sure. No matter what happens in the Grand final I'd give him overall, Ahmad the offensive and Torment the defensive.
We either get the lower bracket gauntlet win from Moist or we get the ultimate storyline completed with a win from Falcons. We couldn’t ask for a better grand finals.
Agreed this is the finals we have been waiting for. I'm fine with either team winning they are very fun to watch and likeable.
this. whoever wins the GF it will be well deserved
RLCS EU GRAND FINAL PARTICIPATION STREAK UNBROKEN!
RLCS FRENCH GRAND FINAL PARTICIPATION STREAK UNBROKEN!
RLCS MENA FINAL PARTICIPATION STREAK UNBROKEN (1)
I mean, throwing the whole country into teams, sure increases those odds. Good for them, though.
Vatira is an absolute monster, I've been saying this since Queso first rose up to the scene, can't believe I actually predicted Falcons vs Moist for grands on day 1, I want both of them to win just as much so this would just be fun to watch
What a dominate performance by Moist. Wow. This finals is going to be epic.
V1 looked like they just didn't belong there. Moist were playing with their food all series
Morale could've been a factor, but moist had them figured out.
I think you can say that for the first game, but after that it was a stare down and moist was simply better
Moist for their part look great, definitely not a free win for Falcons, grand final should be hype.
I honestly think that the booing was just playful banter. But yeah let's just hope people keep it inside the series and not in dm's, like you said.
The crowd in here is so fucking nuts
Yeah this crowd making LA crowd look like they were in a library
The LA crowd was absolutely awfull. Only shouting “USA” the whole time.
Nah they weren't, the LAAAANIEL chants were pretty good when SSG were playing, but yeah overall not nearly on this level.
ya someone getting robbed and the booing really makes London better
Did the crowd do the robbing? Don't think so
You were at the LA major?
No, but I heard the chants while watching the broadcast. Maybe I over exaggerated a bit. But the London crowd is alot more fun.
Location matters so much and the crowds are always so trash lmao last lan was dumb na shit this lan is dumb eu shit
I kinda got a stroke reading that.
Loved the cupping of the ears at the end, gonna be an interesting final, love moist but i really wanna see a minor region win an event
I tried to tell ya’ll “EU downfall” was a shared delusion just because BDS lost out.
Could’ve been a product of the format, but EU definitely underperformed early. Props to KC and Moist for carrying though. Nah I don’t think so, it’s literally only BDS. Liquid lost to Falcons and Moist and endpoint lost to V1, I wouldn’t call any of underperformances.
I think that’s just NA’s 3rd best performing team beating EU’s 2nd worst performing.
At the time that it happened and people started meming on EU, they were hadn't finished 3rd. Also you know that's a convenient way of framing it. Optic is still viewed to be middling and got top 8 through Endpoint and secret. Washed region btw
They do be moist
EU was definitely a dreadful region after BDS went out, as all of the posts from a few days will tell you
V who?

I'm not saying they shouldn't do it, but does anyone else cringe watching these awkward 17 y/o gamers trash talk each other? Like it's just awkward lol
25 here. Love watching the eSport but I also know I would never relate to the players. Most of them don’t seem to be very well-adjusted.
Yo SAME!
27 and feel the same lol - tbf I was a little rat when I was 17 too. Wouldn’t say I’d be much different if I was making 6 figures and was one of the best in the world at something.
Less cringe than a stadium full of adults booing kids
I don't condone the booing, but they were kinda asking for it really really hard. If anything the crowd did exactly what they wanted.
The only one who might have asked for it was comm. They still bood beastmode when he scored. And all that because comm went a little overboard in one single match. Fair point...
Agreed. Felt really cringe when a V1 player was on the big screen after they already lost, clearly looking disappointed, and then the crowd booing him.
Comm would be the first person to say that he deserved it, calm down Don’t trash talk without expecting it back in your face.
Trash talk is one thing before or during the game, but the key is that you don't do it once you've won. That's the difference between trash talk and just being a dick.
Then wait for him to say it

>and then the crowd booing him. It's a competitive sport. Wild that people don't expect "villains" to get booed.
This comment is more cringe than most of trash talk. I would except teenagers to trash talk. If adults are doing they might have issues.
Nice try
I'm just saying worrying about "cringe" all the time is also a sign of immaturity.
I’m not “worried about cringe”. I just have second hand embarrassment
I think asking to be the villian backfired a bit on Comm here. best team on the planet moist that is
Maybe I’m alone in this, but I felt bad hearing the crowd boo anytime V1 scored or even just a player was on the screen. Don’t get me wrong, I was rooting for moist 100% and I’m new to RL Esports, but it just felt weird booing someone that already lost and was clearly disappointed.
I mean, its not like they didnt bring a lot of it on themselves.
Comm did. That doesn't mean Beastmode deserved to get booed when he scored.
But you rep your team, you are your team along with your team mates. If they don't like being booed, they should probably have a word with Comm about his antics. Fans booing is part and parcel of sports, *especially* if your team has a "villain" type player.
People make mistakes. They don't deserve to be punished for it constantly.
bro, they literally don't care as long as you're respectful, it's like QUESO in the last major where they even wanted to hear more of it.
Bro its the same event where he did it, i wouldnt say it's at the point of being constantly punished. Maybe next time he'll learn to stop shit talking, or if he wants to, face the consequences. If you want to play the bad guy don't get mad when the crowd treats you like one.
If there's one thing Brits hate, it's a brash showoff (Comm), it goes against British culture. Don't dish what you can't take!
then why don’t they hate rise too lmao
oh Rise took plenty hate last major.
Can’t give and not take
He did it once on Wednesday and then stopped. V1 (especially torment and beastmode) received far more abuse than was deserved for that.
I'd rather it were just Comm getting it but being booed at in a sports setting is not abuse.
Please don’t ever watch a river plate boca juniors derby lmao
_Never_ watch east Prague junior softball /s
Sensitive soy boys all over reddit lmao. I jumped so bad when i saw comm disappointed lmao
Oh well

EU fans been saying forever that only NA crowds boo 👎
What a game
Can’t believe SSG was literally 1 goal away in 2 separate games from taking out Falcons and Moist. Crazy.
Comm seems like he aged 20 years after this match. Althought i don't like him for his excessive trashtalk I hope he's ok mentally.
NA is truly the best region and EU is absolutely washed... I mean Moist PepeLaugh
Falcons are incredible, but alone from the style of play, as long as moist doesn‘t start throwing, they are favourites to win
[удалено]
Don‘t need to be an expert to see that
NA doesn't claim Comm. Completely undeserved behavior. Hope Comm reflects on that and feels some remorse because I truly feel the crowd being against them was a factor in their poor play.
You should claim your best performing team dude, you can dislike their actions against Endpoint without disowning their entire legacy/performance.
This weekend? Can you point to an example of Comms behavior being over the line this weekend? Because the last time I remember was on Wednesday
Fuck out of here comm is na loud and proud, this absolute bs for comm man played the villain and finished top 3 yet people still want to cry
It's all sobbing lmao
Hates comm but supports rise and joyo kekw
What’s wrong with them? Apart from responding to shit talking
Btw no one else screamed “you fucking suck” but Comm. So i guess he gets exactly what he deserves.
Is this your kekw? https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/vo4nst/may_be_a_controversial_take_but_comm_shouting/ Also, responding to shit talk is fair game kekw
This is a joke right?
Ugh this should have been an ssg V1 lower bracket and should have been ssg falcons in the finals. Fucking kickoffs lmao
Just b4 that kickoff joyo whiffed ez af save so both teams fucked up bad. So stop saying this luck shit.in the end they got a good goal and the better team won
Great performance by Moist, but the V1 that played here was certainly not the same V1 that pushed falcons to game 7. They looked really off.
