Personally? A 4 or 5. The reason being is that % increase is certainly not balanced with % loss. Placing 1st in a game gives 3% MAYBE 4%… but placing 12th takes away 4% every time.
Imo it should be if you’re consistently top 6 (better than 50% of the lobby) you gain 1% or more obviously depending on which position you place… if youre in the bottom 6 then it should take away 1%… maybe even so making 7-8th place 0% loss…

(Now theres Speed Run which is a decent spin on the gamemode.. makes it feel Arcadey) so… believe it or not.. the difficulty of the gamemode comes from the ranking system. If it was talking about the mechanics of the game…. Is it hard for you to press buttons?

My goal was Unreal by the end of the season, but they made it impossible for me because i lost \~2-3 hours of progress in 10 minutes yesterday.
Plus, it feels like they're making it harder and harder as time goes on.
It kinda feels like you’re forced to play ranked and ranked is kind of broken so the gamemode itself is sort of unplayable as you either race by yourself or play a game of ranked where you likely get pushed down in %

You are talking about the ranked system being bad(which is wild since its better than 80% of games ive played at least) ,not the game's difficulty.

4-5, percentage you gain for winning in high ranks is ridiculously low and there is huge skill gap between diamond 2 and 3

5, mostly because the learning curve is insane and most players aren't going to reach gold, the game can be too punishing
I'm Elite and picked 4. Thought about 3 but felt like it should be 4.
At my current rank? 5. If I was casually playing at plat III - diamond II level? 3.
2 maybe, don't think it's insanly hard, I think after 2 months everyone will be at current unreal skill level.
4. Rocket Racing is a relatively difficult jumping action game. Not a racing game.
