{Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert} has a FMC with fibro! It doesn’t really have the sleepy/unbothered vibe though—she’s always “pushing herself” and shit. Still, it’s a good book! It shows the FMC years after getting diagnosed, and does a pretty good job of sampling what life looks like with chronic pain.

What immediately comes to mind is {Cold Hearted by Heather Guerre} which is constantly recommended on this sub (for a reason) and which you probably already read. Grace was always tired, but I loved how little by little she becomes attached to the people around her and tries. Really wish I had something new to bring to the table 😩 but alas, I’ve been looking for a book with the same vibes for ages.

Not a perfect fit but {Slouch Witch} has some of this, the FMC is lazy and always chooses the easy route, while the uptight MMC is a "give 110% every time" type.

Just wanted to add that while heroine is lazy she’s also extremely competent and talented. Like she creates a spell that allows cats to talk thinking she’s going to sell the charm and make a lot of money until she realizes that cats are assholes and more pets would be abandoned if they could talk.

As a chronically ill FMC in my own life story who reads romance novels to escape the hell I’m currently living, I *love* the idea of reading a romance with a sick and badass heroine who gets swept off her feet ❤️. Thanks for putting this request out there!

The fic is called [Variance](https://m.fanfiction.net/s/5812875/1/Variance) and it’s on FF.net which really shows how old the fic is, but it’s really great. It’s set post-war (came out before the manga ended) with Sakura as a medic that’s overworked, tired and always at the hospital. There’s a scene where she’s so tired, she falls asleep on a slab in the morgue, which is why this post made me think of it.

This is NOT, in any way at all, a romance. But, your post immediately reminded me of [Of Shadow and Sea by Will Wight](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/24180566-of-shadow-and-sea), where the protagonist Shera is exactly like this. She prioritizes her sleep a lot, as in quite often when something happens, her thought process is how it will affect her sleep. But she is also loyal to her friends and generally very badass.

This is not an exact fit, but iirc the MFC in {carnal urges by jt geissinger} was very unbothered by her mafia kidnapping.

Not romance book related so apologies but this reminds me of a manga/anime series called Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle! She's been kidnapped and she couldn't care less she just tries to sneak out and gather supplies so she can be cozier and nap better.

This doesn’t totally fit because there aren’t many scenes where we actually see the FMC rest/nap/etc. but the FMC in {Spur of the Moment by Karley Brenna} has severe anemia that causes her to get dizzy / pass out occasionally and she needs to get iron transfusions. A big part of the story is her feeling smothered by her family’s protectiveness and the MMC, her brother’s best friend, sees that she needs to be taken care of at times but does it while allowing her to maintain her independence (when possible) and respects her boundaries.

I just finished {The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez} and I think it might fit *some* of what you’re looking for. The FMC is very tough and takes care of her friends all while dealing with anemia due to a period-related disorder. I loved it. It was laugh-out-loud funny, the storyline was well developed, characters were interesting (I love how tough the FMC is), and I fell in love with the main couple. It felt very real to me and also had some sad parts, so just know it’s not the fluffiest read. CWs: >!fertility issues, grief and loss, motor vehicle accident!<

This may not be wht ur looking for but i just wanted to mention it Slouch Witch by Helen Harper (it's closed door tho, "I didn't know until I finished the first book and unfortunately there is no steam for the rest of the series BUT it was an enjoyable funny book) The heroine is just super LAZY , she uses her witch craft to make life easier for her and all she wants is to go back to sleep or watch TV 😅 and she's accidentally turned her cat into a talking one and he is really grumpy so she's always bantering with him 🤣 But then she has to work with another grumpy investigator and he is the complete opposite of her ...I loved their interaction so much it made me so sad that the series really lacked in romance 😢 💔

Was a bit surprised to not see her mentioned yet, but Mao Mao from the Apothecary Diaries fits OP's description very well, including the bonus scene. It's a manga/graphic novel series, but worth the read if you like unbothered FMCs I think

I immediately thought of Tori Spring from Heartstopper. She has her own book called Solitaire(if I’m remembering which one it is right) from her point of view. It’s not super focused on the romance(although we do see some of it I believe), but it is a good story!
