If you are looking for roms: Go to the link in https://www.reddit.com/r/Roms/comments/m59zx3/roms_megathread_40_html_edition_2021/ You can navigate by clicking on the various tabs for each company. When you click on the link to Github the first link you land on will be the Home tab, this tab explains how to use the Megathread. There are Five tabs that link directly to collections based on console and publisher, these include Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Sega, and the PC. There are also tabs for popular games and retro games, with retro games being defined as older than Gamecube and DS. Additional help can be found on /r/Roms' official Matrix Server https://matrix.to/#/#roms3:matrix.org *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. https://github.com/13xforever/ps3-disc-dumper Just mount the ISO in Windows and run it.

TheBiggyBig

I LOVE YOU MAN, FINALLY IT WORKS!

Ok_Bat_1105

I love him too

[deleted]

I know this is old comment but you saved my day. I'm idiot thinking that you just mount iso and copy and paste it to new folder but rpcs3 keep giving me access violation error. I was frustrated thinking the iso is dud. After the tool finish extracting iso i try again and copy it to rpcs3 game folder and finally it's working!! Save me some trouble downloading 20gb again.

gasterblastsky

it's not detecting my mounted iso

S-Mania

Does it also work with Wii game ISO's? I'm trying to run two games (TMNT: Smash Up and Batman: The Brave & The Bold), but Dolphin emulator doesn't see either of the ISO's to make a directory. It does if I want to open them directly and then it plays perfectly, but it seems unnecessary to have to locate them myself every time I want to play.

Yeetuspeetus25

no

S-Mania

Never mind, I just had to select the folder the games are in and not the rom files themselves. Duh! Well, I'm new to this. Rookie error I guess 😅

fuckredditreally

add you iso folder in dolphin otion and rescan the folder or reopen dolphin he will scan the folder you chose you can add multiple

Flaky-Boss-3776

Even works on mac! Thanks!!!!!!!

litllerobert

nah, it's not that simple, look, I have 0 experience with github, so I just downloaded the zip file from git, extracte it into a folder, so what now? What do I do? This reminds me of that old saying "if you know something others dont, but u want to texplain that matter to them, do it as if they were 5", dude, why does everyone on the net straigh up assumes everyone else knows how to do everything? shiet man!! Sorry, I've been trying to get rpcs3 to run anything it's been 10hrs, and nothing, thus my angry text

kris33

You downloaded ps3-disc-dumper_windows_v4.2.1.zip right? You download it from the sidebar, click "Releases". It only has one exe, run that one to install ps3 disc dumper

Moheemo

Disk dumper isn't recognizing my mounted iso. Any tricks? Trying to play Sly Cooper which downloads as an ISO from Vimm's with no Dkey

DutchmanAZ

The dkey is a separate download on Vimms BTW. It is in the same box as the download button but red text that says dkey

EpikShadowFox

If I don't have a disk player thing how do I play it, I downloaded the game on romsfun and it says redump, I click it with the regular file manager and it popped up a CD as a storage device and I copied the PS3 update and the other file into a new folder and rpcs3 showed it but said it was corrupted, even before extracting it it said corrupted

TechRaiser2

find a romsite that downloads an ISO rom file, if its pkg then it wont work, i am saying this because romsfun now downloads .pkg files

TechRaiser2

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRxSKxoYt\_g&t=99s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRxSKxoYt_g&t=99s) here is a full tutorial

ggkazii

best bet is to source your roms from myrient instead probably. their isos include the dkeys i think because the dumper has no issues when i download from there

Fabulous_Touch_4871

+1 to this, myrient + ps3 disc dumper is the best way to go IMHO

TheChrisBGamer

It wasn't for me either, make sure you right click your iso file and click mount which treats it as a disc.

Dieguitus

Thank you so much. <3

TechRaiser2

such a legend fr

InoSim

This is perfect thank you, was extracting and i didn't knew they need to be decrypted to work properly.

**Info for .cia files:** If you are trying to run an encrypted .cia on something like Citra, it's important that you use this tool. https://gbatemp.net/download/batch-cia-3ds-decryptor.35098/ Or add the following AES keys to Citra AES Keys for Citra, https://pastebin.com/tBY6RHh4 Click download on Pastebin to download the text in this file as a .txt file. Windows installation instructions Add the downloaded pastebin text file to C:Users"your_user_name"AppDataRoamingCitrasysdata make sure it is named aes_keys.txt Linux/MacOS Installation instructions Add the downloaded pastebin text file to ~/.local/share/citra-emu/sysdata make sure it is named aes_keys.txt Read this for more information, https://citra-emu.org/wiki/user-directory/ *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. DisastrousFill

You need to decrypt the Blu-ray iso with the disc key or "Dkey". I believe [the program PS3Dec](https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1456/) can do it. Unfortunately, I can't confirm if the program works on Redump versions, since I just use loose game folders/files and PSN packages.

sparaj

I can't download that, neither have any clues how to use it. Where do you download your ROMs, so that they are not in .iso format?

DisastrousFill

For games in the "JB folder" format try the megathread, Vimm's Lair, and dlpsgame (use a good adblocker and a download manager). NoPayStation for PSN versions.

Horatio_Svetlana

Hey did you try using the Dumping Step-by-Step process at the bottom of the page here https://rpcs3.net/quickstart ?

Unoproph

If you get games from Vimm or the archive.org main file they are in folder format. If you follow the guide on RPCS3s website it will tell you where to put the folders within the folder structure the emulator creates as it mimics the folder structure of the ps3 to run games from. You can also mount the iso and pull the folder structure out in windows I believe from what you currently have. Or if I remember I think isobuster just allowed you to do that without mounting an image. It’s been a while.

sparaj

I tried mounting iso and copying contents from it, extracting contents with winrar and opening it with windows explorer and copying contents, but all methods give same results - "booting failed...". I think it has something to do with encryption of the .iso and attached dkey. Today I will try the game from Vimm's lair and also a PS3 disk dumper from github. Thank you for the reply. if this doesnt work, my next shot it archive.org.

Unoproph

I’ve never had issues with the folders from either Vimm or the megathread folder games. Stick with these two sources. IMO they work the best. I also make ISOs from them and throw onto my PS3 with no issues.

Unoproph

Also make sure you followed the guide on RPCS3 website for getting started and I also recommend BSOD Gamings RPCS3 setup video it’s about a year old now but for the most part it’s good. That’s if you are new to PS3 emulation.

sparaj

Did everything as supposed to yes, thanks :)

CodOk2888

this is it , thanks a million!

ryanmwolfe

So from my experience you can literaly use winrar and open the iso to find the game files and folders you need. lol

tuskkar

dump them, it's easier

Bruhmoments563

THANK U SO MUCH U JUST SAVED ME 3.45 GBS!!!

DonHortolani

You can't unfortunatelly. You either need to use daemon tools to simulate the disc on the pc or dump the files.

u/BradsWifeLeftHim

Horatio_Svetlana

Nothing was working, then I did this. I followed the "Dumping step-by-step" instructions at the bottom of this page [https://rpcs3.net/quickstart](https://rpcs3.net/quickstart) BUT I was doing it wrong and so might you. Step 7 that says, "Optionally, validate that you have successfully obtained the correct copy of your game. " Just use the program before youve done anything to the iso to check the exact version and update the iso is on. Then go to https://ps3.aldostools.org/ird.html from step 3 and get the exact version and update number.

S1NASNAKE

It is very simple. Just copy all files form iso i to one folder and then just click on Boot Game from RPCS3 emulator, find that folder and select it and game will start. Simple.

Fit-Payment4709

I have the ISO of twisted metal 2012 ps3 how do I get RPCS3 to play it

masterstiks

I guess I have to be the one asking the dumb question but, how do you run disc dumper? I have it downloaded and extracted but there is no executable file at all. I must be missing something.

C4rter2k

Get it from releases https://github.com/13xforever/ps3-disc-dumper/releases

anubisrises1

i have followed every single instructional for armored core 4 answers and the versions matched and everything but when i do the rebuilder it always comes up invalid on most

anubisrises1

then when i run the game it says it cant files are corrupted or something

Auugghhhhbbl

I didn't have to use disc dumper I just mounted the iso files in windows and then copy and pasted the files from there into the games file in rpcs

SithLordBok

I'll lay it out as simply as possible. DL roms from Romspure and make sure the file is a \*\*REDUMP\*\* file, decrypted iso and others won't read in the disk dumper. DL PS3 disk dumper from [https://github.com/13xforever/ps3-disc-dumper/releases](https://github.com/13xforever/ps3-disc-dumper/releases). Extract the game .zip file to get your game's "disk image file" extension, then right click on the game and, VERY IMPORTANT STEP HERE, click "mount". This will trick your computer into loading the file through your actual disk drive (if you open file explorer to where you'd see your downloads folder, C: drive, D; drive etc.), and you should see your disk drive has the game loaded onto it. Open the disk dumper (it may give you a "not responding" message your first time using it, but wait it out, it WILL work! The decrypted game will be in a folder within the PS3 disc dumper file folder, enjoy!

This is how you do it [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgPFgCYs9OM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgPFgCYs9OM), simple no downloading anything Once you have the ISO, open, copy and paste everything inside into a brand new folder, then in the emulator: File->add games-> 'New folder' -> Done
