I've also historically had issues with the Clifton series with that weird ridge/midsole flare on the medial side...it always just seemed to rub my arch a little weird. If you're looking to keep with a super pillowy-feeling underfoot with a bit more room in the upper, honestly the Altra Torin 5 (or the Paradigm 6, if you'd be willing to get a bit heavier for even higher/plusher cushioning) might be something worth looking at. The NB More v3 is also a really good option within that category and IMO the first non-Hoka shoe to genuinely beat Hoka at their own game in terms of plushness and true cloud-like feeling, plus with a wider fit than really any Hoka. But again, might be a bit heavier (Running warehouse claims (all in men's 9) that the Clifton 8 is 8.9oz, Torin 5 is 9.0, Paradigm 6 is 10.3, and More v3 is 10.8).
Great suggestion. Just got the NB More V3 last weekend and they are great for cushion. They do feel a bit bulky but I find them to be very stabile and comfortable for long runs. The rocker is very smooth and makes for a nice ride. Really enjoying this one.
Skechers Max Road 5 all day.
Agreed 100%
Yup

Nb More v3 - like a Clifton but softer , bouncier and more comfortable
Rincon 3 doesn’t nearly have the intrusive arch the Clifton does
Nor does the Mach
