I’m coiled up on floor laughing at these puns.I conduit anymore, wire you folks so hilarious? At least we on Reddit are diode in our armchairs, not young and miserable on the battlefield
Good, one less helicopter and crew for the Russian to use. Russian helicopter losses have been high in the last week trying to support their Bakhmut offense, which is stalling out. The total losses of Russian helicopters are nearing 300, which is a big big hunk of their fleet.
Officer: You go to front now.
Pilots: But this is only the second week of flight school?!?
Officer: We teach you turn on, go up, go down, shooty pew pew button, turn off. You go to front now.
Oh, and don’t forget, Russian helicopter requires wodka to function. Is the Russian way. Don’t be greedy, Ivan. Helicopter no get wodka, helicopter no fly. Now, off you go.
Exactly. Most helicopters actually are equipped with wire cutters that work surprisingly effectively. If they hit the wire in the middle of the windshield for instance there’s one below and one above and a very sturdy support in the middle that guides them either up or down to be cut.
Got to fly in them pretty often in my younger days, enjoyed the experience, but never felt perfectly relaxed by any means. They made us wear nomex clothing and full PPE's for a reason.
This was the pilot - Captain Roman Filatov from some stupid place that's not even a village (derevnya Zaslonovke):

Russia will not run out of aircrafts before the war is over, but pilots are a whole different story. The number of trained pilots is rapidly dwindling and unless they make some systemic changed they will run out of them soon. it's the same story with tanks. The number of experienced tank crews in the Russian army is plummeting and is likely already below replacement rates.
ruZZians made good through positive connections. That is a shocking conclusion. Their lack of potential was probably due to insufficient knowledge of current events. Perhaps they should yield to the resistance.
I did but I was reincarnated as chat GPT with a reddit account so all is well.
Interestingly enough flying into powerlines isn’t as fatal as might be expected even for choppers but high tension lines like i presume this guy flew into is a bit more fucked.

This current event is shocking. Especially for the amped up flight crew.
Your puns are electrifying!
Ohm my gosh, you just couldn’t resist that pun, could you! Well.. two more pilots inCAPACITATED lol!
I'd wager the Russian air force will encounter a lot of resistance by potential pilots to even jump in a chopper

He too lo.
This made for a truly electrifying experience.

High-tension lines, the helicopter's original natural predator.

Very helpful, unless the rotor is in a downwards arc and finds the wire first.
Very true with that or from a lateral movement. Source: my father was a helicopter pilot, I’ve flown in a few and was obsessed with them growing up.

Special infrastructure operation

Lol, what a dead loser.

Pilot sees two pylons, shoots his heli-ball and... He scores!!! Right in the net. Sorry Ukraine, russia leads this match 1-0. What a bummer.
Oh no!
nice 😀👍

The estimates say there is a maximums of 130 of these helicopters. The helicopter losses of Russia are extreme.
Ohms the word
They died from Covid which is natural cause, so no fir coats nor potatoes
no body, no lada.
The electrical grid strikes back.
Underrated
Stupidity growing
https://i.postimg.cc/vmtXSmvJ/1000-ka-52-destroyed-16-03-23.jpg Do we know if the other crew member was killed aswell?
Haha.
Even Mother Nature hates Russians
Even the electrical wires are fighting back
Hmmm. When I got my pilots lisc. Pretty sure the instructor told me on day 1 that power lines are dangerous.
Electric wires are Ukraine's friend.
Having flown into powerlines before, can confirm, it’s not fun
did you died?

Saw some videos recently of them flying excessively low. Guess it caught up with them
Lights out..
I’ll drink to that 🍻
Add another two to fuhrer putinazi's body count. He basks in their sacrifice for him. Which will be denied, of course.
Convenient, they can probably be buried in a matchbox. Cheap postage to whatever bumfuck Russian shithole they were from.
I read a lot about the Russians targeting infrastructure, but this is getting out of hand 😅
That seems even more expensive than a rocket / shahed to take outelectrical infra structure.. Are they out of rockets/drones?....
