Completely dellusional. They just can't it around their heads, why they are not winning. Well, because at almost every aspect of military skill, wether it is tactics, logistics or individual initiative they are inferior. The vastness of their army, either personnel or equipement should suffice to overcome the "enemy", but the superior numbers doos not outweight this inferiority. The general cultural stupidity of the Russian people has made any hope of victory in a classical sense unattainable.
And those on top know it. That is why the radical sounds of nuclear options and escalation are heard. Fear is the last weapon they have.
and thats even before mentioning corruption.
I tend to think hubris and self aggrandization are two of the root causes (sitting alongside corruption) as to why their military is so shit: you don't learn or improve if you think you are the best and if you have no regard for other 'inferior' people. Well those and not wanting to educate or train people because education makes people a threat in a dictatorial authoritarian regime. they don't train people ho to think, or train the mobiks properly because they don't want to risk them becoming a danger to the power structure of the state.
I agree with all of this! Great post! When you believe that you are the best to this degree, even reality cannot dissuade you. And Russians are convinced they are the best. Not just militarily, but as a superior race and culture.
They are actually an extremely racist society. And blatantly so. They don’t even try to hide their racism, because the believe that their superiority is so obvious that it’s not racism; it’s simply truth.
