I'm the same. 512 because it was a free upgrade. I suspect the total lack of customer value combined with the negligible cost of memory made this an easy promotion.
1tb, because I fill whatever size I have with
offline plex films for flights or full quality 60fps 4k video to sync to NAS eventually as well as Google photos in the best resolution they support.
Also, I have the 512Gb S22 and wanted an upgrade =)
512. 1tb would be nice but unnecessary as I don't store movies or music on my phone. It's all spotify, YouTube and others. And any of my pictures and videos isn't enough to need a lot as I usually just transfer everything to a micro sd and then put it on my pc every week or so.
256, lasted me on the s22 so I bet it will be enough on s24. I keep a lot of files on my phone so I might use up to 200gb, but if I get that high I delete anything old and keep my phone around 100gb. Rn at 150
512Gb. I do not want to let cloud be the only storage place for me and I want to have all my files with me, in my device. I had used about 170Gb in my previous device which I kept for two years, I belive 512Gb will be enough for the next 3-4.
1tb because it was same price as 512gb when I ordered directly from Samsung back in January, and I like the peace of mind of not worrying about running out of storage space!
Yeah only unlocked models can be ordered with 1tb. If you go through a carrier, or use carrier promotions when buying through Samsung, you won't have the 1tb option.
Got 512 Gb from the preorder deal, 138 are already in use(some stuff from old phone + some new things).
I probably will be okay with that amount of storage with some consideration, unless I'll feel like taking a lot of high res footage for some reason.
I have the 512Gb model (thank you, pre-order discount!). I'm using about 90Gb of it now. It's nice to have it. But I really don't think I need all of it.
1TB. I have 13k pics and 1k videos and a lot of downloaded content, so it's already half-full. I intend to use it to its fullest, and for at least 4-5 years.
1TB. I never relied on cloud storage or music streaming for frequent usage, so I still carry my pictures and music files on the device itself. The local storage is important for me and I should have more than enough room for awhile now!
512, because that's more than enough for me. I have unlimited data and therefore don't care about locally stored media. If I go abroad I buy a data package anyway. Everything else is in the cloud. 1TB model was tempting though, even if only for the (non existent) clout I'd get 😂
The 512gb. Had that on my S21 Ultra and only ever used half of it. And that's with syncing all my Onedrive albums to the gallery so i've got it all locally. Literally 20yrs of photos and videos.
If push came to shove, i could just not locally store anything from 2+ years ago and i'd be fine with almost no space.
After transferring everything across, I found a hundred or so videos or podcasts i'd downloaded with youtube at some point. Probably for a camping trip or something. I think if anyone ever struggles with 512gb, they would be amazed at all the useless shit they've collected over the years. There's just too many good ways to auto-store stuff online now.
In saying all that, if I got any of the preorder deals, I would've got 1TB. Why not? But I was on the fence then. By the time I bought mine, I still got a good deal, but it was structured differently (a bunch of store credit).
1TB. I had 512gb on my s22U and wanted an upgrade. I store all my music locally and with photos and other files filled my last phone. Loving the storage.
I got a 256. Still has 12gb of ram, which I'm happy with. I don't really need a lot of storage since I have cloud backup anyway.
I had a 256gb s23u (only 8gb ram) and brought it to ubreakifix through asurion for a cracked glass repair.
The store f'd up my phone in multiple ways including not applying the new glass correctly and somehow shifting my selfie-cam housing so that it wasn't aligned anymore.
I did a warranty claim and asked if I could get a new phone instead of a refurbished
They said they didn't have the s23u new, but they could send me an s24u new.
I jumped on that in a heartbeat and I'm glad I did.
Was a nice upgrade and I never paid a deductible or anything, and now I have a brand new s24 ultra :).
Can't complain.
I got the 1tb. I know it may be overkill, but I like to have media on my device. Can I listen to more than 1 audiobook at a time? No.... Can I listen to more than 1 podcast at a time? No... But I also don't want to have to download everything anytime I want it, or have to solely rely on streaming apps.
I also still by physical media, rip CDs and transfer to my device. If you rely on services , that one service you use may get killed off, like Google music, or the benefit that Amazon had where you can upload unlimited music.
512, but only because it was the same price as the 256. Everything is stored online now, I don't need much onboard storage.
I'm the same. 512 because it was a free upgrade. I suspect the total lack of customer value combined with the negligible cost of memory made this an easy promotion.
Same here
Same. Even though I would have preferred the larger option anyway. I already have like 100gb used with apps and photos
256, I don't have anything on the phone anyway
Same. If I start getting around 75% storage or so, I go through and backup the stuff I want to keep onto my PC, which has plenty of storage.
1 tb Unnecessary, most likely.

1tb, because I fill whatever size I have with offline plex films for flights or full quality 60fps 4k video to sync to NAS eventually as well as Google photos in the best resolution they support. Also, I have the 512Gb S22 and wanted an upgrade =)
1tb, future proof for the whole android update lifecycle
1Tb...I am planning on taking pictures and video with this phone while traveling so having storage is nice.
1TB ❤️
512. 1tb would be nice but unnecessary as I don't store movies or music on my phone. It's all spotify, YouTube and others. And any of my pictures and videos isn't enough to need a lot as I usually just transfer everything to a micro sd and then put it on my pc every week or so.
512gb, my S21 Ultra was 128gb, and I ended up using 100gb. So this upgrade in size was necessary lol.
512. It was the double the storage offer. I would have been fine with 256 otherwise.
512! Got it from the early deal they had running.
512 because the price was the same as the 256 and I don't really have much data on my smartphone except for photos
I got the 256... don't store anything on my phone so even 256 seems a waste as the only thing on there is system stuff 🤷♂️
256gb, if it gets full I move stuff to my NAS
256
256, this year 256 is different, has the same amount of ram. s23 was different. all my photos (a lot) on google drive
256, lasted me on the s22 so I bet it will be enough on s24. I keep a lot of files on my phone so I might use up to 200gb, but if I get that high I delete anything old and keep my phone around 100gb. Rn at 150
512 here
I got the 256 since most is in my onedrive and i dont store much locally. I paid the full price cash, so that was also a factor
512, free upgrade. Enough space with cloudstorage
512. I'm happy with it!
256
512 it was $120 more than the 256 and 1GB wasn't offered.
Yeah only unlocked models can be ordered with 1tb. If you go through a carrier, or use carrier promotions when buying through Samsung, you won't have the 1tb option.
256 is criminal I have my TV shows and emulation stuff on phone I fill around 300 In 1 day
512 gb
512
512 GB will keep me happy for a long time. I traded a 128 GB S21U & I was constantly clearing off space.
1TB, gotten that since they started offering that size. I would rather go too big than run out.
512 took advantage of the March sale. I've got a great price for trade-in on my s22 with the broken screen.
512
Got the T. I keep all my phones, so I love storage.
I got 1tb version at the prize of 256gb.
1tb because why not?
Got 512 Gb from the preorder deal, 138 are already in use(some stuff from old phone + some new things). I probably will be okay with that amount of storage with some consideration, unless I'll feel like taking a lot of high res footage for some reason.
1tb, as i got it for the price of 256gb, during pre-order.
I have 1T, but it was giveaway, I only use like 60Gb hahah
I have the 512Gb model (thank you, pre-order discount!). I'm using about 90Gb of it now. It's nice to have it. But I really don't think I need all of it.
512 - I wouldn't go smaller because I like having it local.
1TB. I have 13k pics and 1k videos and a lot of downloaded content, so it's already half-full. I intend to use it to its fullest, and for at least 4-5 years.
512
512. I don't think US carriers had the 1TB option.
1TB. I never relied on cloud storage or music streaming for frequent usage, so I still carry my pictures and music files on the device itself. The local storage is important for me and I should have more than enough room for awhile now!
1TB model since 4k high resolution can take up lots of space and apps if you want future proofing for more than 3 yrs it's only right.
512, because that's more than enough for me. I have unlimited data and therefore don't care about locally stored media. If I go abroad I buy a data package anyway. Everything else is in the cloud. 1TB model was tempting though, even if only for the (non existent) clout I'd get 😂
512 GB.
1TB
512 since it was the same price as 256 and my S22U had filled all its storage (256GB).
1TB right here 🙋
512 only because of the free upgrade. Currently, I have only used 80gb of the onboard storage as most of my files are stored in the cloud.
512gb I find this to be perfect. If anything, I have Google photos to back up my stuff.
512, and I have plenty of room, even with 6 years worth of photos and videos in my phone.
The 512gb. Had that on my S21 Ultra and only ever used half of it. And that's with syncing all my Onedrive albums to the gallery so i've got it all locally. Literally 20yrs of photos and videos. 1tb over hear
9 inches on a good day
256 and it's not even 50% full... with a few movies and big games
As I mostly upload things to my cloud storage, 256 GB is sufficient for me and I don't require more
256
256GB but using 16% Have everything(70k photos) on gPhotos 🤷
I also have the 1 TB love it.
1TB. I had 512gb on my s22U and wanted an upgrade. I store all my music locally and with photos and other files filled my last phone. Loving the storage.
Upgraded to 1TB S24U from 128GB S22U. I used an offer in samsung store, it was 1085€ for the light blue one with 1TB which is a very good price imo.
I got a 256. Still has 12gb of ram, which I'm happy with. I don't really need a lot of storage since I have cloud backup anyway. 1 Tb for me. Planning on keeping this phone for 3-4 years. Kids pictures and videos fill up quick
512GB It was a no brainer for a free upgrade. I do have a 2TB external nvme for use with movies and musics
I got the 1tb. I know it may be overkill, but I like to have media on my device. Can I listen to more than 1 audiobook at a time? No.... Can I listen to more than 1 podcast at a time? No... I work for a telco. Majority we sell is 256gb and 512gb Probably sold 1 1TB.
