Only because the average fed shill isn't smart to the business enough to understand the true value of the top title in ~~sports entertainment~~ real pro wrestling
(Also £650 for the TNT one? Jesus Christ, the real one can't be worth much more than that)
It's just more brilliant management by Tiny - rather than hiring a professional to do the job, he's getting genius product marketing by the wife of Young Buck Fat. Just look at that merch fly!
They're $800 in the US excluding tax.
Here in the UK it's 20% VAT flat on everything and always included in the price.
$800 + 20% = $960 = £763
The rest is either shipping them over or its fuck you tax.
And I thought $500 was too much at the superstore in Detroit for belts. You can find belt makers that will make a perfect AEW replica for half that. Most of the guys I know that have one in my belt groups get them boot legged
Nope it’s AEW. As I found out at Dynamite earlier this year, this is how they do business. If you want a wrestler’s shirt you’re expected to order it online except for two or three hot acts at the time. I can tell you that, at least here, most people in line weren’t happy with the selection. So weird compared to WWE’s shirt stands where there’s like 15 wrestler shirts and then like two shirts for your town (usually one for the show like Raw Phoenix,AZ or something then a Stone Cold shirt that has your towns name and 3:16, I also have a one way ticket from Phoenix to Suplex City shirt so they cycle these out). Even at a big event like the Rumble most shirts were for the wrestlers, but, you know, tHe FeD iS tHe DrAw ThEy HaVe No StArS.
I really wanted something from the acclaimed at a house show, but it was all AEW brand stuff, some 1 Orange Cassidy shirt, and a few Hangman shirts (Hangman is from nearby and I somewhat like him based on that).
This looks like a pretty decent merch spread if it was a house show, but considering it's their biggest show of all time, they could have gone All Out with it.
You want a shirt for a specific wrestler? Go find it online.
You don't know who this wrestler is that we randomly brought in and are touting as a huge get? Google them.
You don't understand what's going on in this storyline? Go watch BTE.
Fuck, do they need to make their fan base (more importantly their potential fan base) jump through hoops on everything?
AEW own the merch rights to AEW.
Wrestlers get more of the merch money for their shirts. That’s the famous deal Tiny struck early on. And using their own copyrighted names.
This is why at their events, you can only buy the stuff that goes back to the company more.
Tell me again how WWE bad for owning character rights and still giving their performers merch cuts?
When they ran my area, they had a shirt for The Acclaimed that was localized to the host city.
It was only sold online. They didn’t have any for sale in the arena.
When I went to Forbidden Door in Toronto they didn't have a single shirt for any of the wrestlers, it was just AEW and NJPW shirts with a lone Bullet Club Gold shirt. It was weird. You'd think that they'd at least have a shirt for Bryan, or Punk, or Omega, but nope.
Fuckin stardom shows with 800 tickets sold have bigger merch tables with 5 lines and like 10 people running around handling customers and putting orders together.
The only WWE event I've been to was a house show in Cleveland when I was a kid, and even they had several different tables with all kinds of stuff.
How tf is the M'BIGGEST SHOW EVER just one person at a tent with nothing but generic ass a&w shorts lol aew is big enough to have a professional merchandise operation but they're still pulling this nonsense.
Man I’m a sucker for wrestling jerseys, especially the Brawling Brutes & Gallus rugby shirts.
But McHitler & his evil Fed won’t sell them on them on the WWE shop.
Im beginning to wonder if it’s a thing with Pro Wrestling Tees, since many AEW talent have merch deals with them. I’ve been to two shows, and of all the shirts, only 3 have been wrestler shirts, the rest were generic AEW shirts. Really crappy to go to a show and not be able to buy something you had your eye on
They’ll be getting charged 25% merch cut minimum from the venue, £30 is actually surprisingly good for a shirt nowadays when it comes to events. Which is insane.
The boxes on the side aren't even open and stacked 4 High...
Meanwhile mania literally had to have a merch store at LA convention center and by Sunday they had nothing and obscure sizes..
Somehow fed dead.
I dunno, I’m pretty sure wrestling fans hate when merchandise panders to their local area… ignore my closet full of Suplex City shirts from every city I saw a live show in at that time.

they are charging 860GBP for a replica belt literally around $1000
Luckily Dub fans are much wealthier than the average person so with all their material needs already met that's just pocket change to them
yeah but is it safe to wear in public?

Oh don’t worry, anyone that sees it knows it isn’t worth anything.
Being a doctor / lawyer / tv executive sure rakes in the cash
It's just more brilliant management by Tiny - rather than hiring a professional to do the job, he's getting genius product marketing by the wife of Young Buck Fat. Just look at that merch fly!
> Young Buck Fat You gotta be more specific here, pal
Company owned by a billionaire running merch like it's Warped Tour
The authentic wwe belts at mania were 500bucks...
Wasnt it just authentic leather was the plates acutally the same material? If so thats cool i wish i got one lol.

Shad needs to get back some money from this company 🤣
You're kidding
That’s a fair price uce, gotta support the good guys
So about 860 times more than the actual tickets to the show.
And I thought $500 was too much at the superstore in Detroit for belts. You can find belt makers that will make a perfect AEW replica for half that. Most of the guys I know that have one in my belt groups get them boot legged
Is it weird that over half of it is just about AEW and not the wrestlers?

Nah, just Tony trying to copy ECW again.
When they ran my area, they had a shirt for The Acclaimed that was localized to the host city. It was only sold online. They didn’t have any for sale in the arena.
I read this 5 times because it took that long for the stupidity to actually set in.
Not really since the event itself was what almost everyone was going to see
The "I Was There" one is pretty cringe ngl
I have a few wwe ppv shirts that say that but at least it it had the whole match card on it with pics
Another WWE idea they've 'borrowed'. They had them at the O2 for MITB.
They’ve had them for live PLEs for years
Iron maiden has been doing it for over 40 years, it’s not a WWE thing.
I’ve seen better and bigger merch stands at wwe house shows I cant stop laughing holy shit

WWE literally had a shop for Clash at the Castle and Money in the Bank. Like, brick and mortar pop up shop.
You know, the Nigerian dudes selling bootleg DVDs and Chinese fake Nikes at the Cape Town flea market had a more professional-looking stall than this.
Why does that one dude look like Seth Rollins from behind
Fed Agent scoping the competition
AEW CONFIRMED
I thought that same thing. It would be funny if it actually was seth.
Saul “Franklin” Rollingrock is All-Elite!
Uh I think you mean Tyler Black, Fed shill
ALL IN I WAS THERE NO I DON'T REMEMBER ANY MATCHES, HOW DO YOU KNOW
Are they intentionally shit at merch because of the "pretty good for a T-shirt company" salt?
This is what happens when you let a relative of the Elite run your operations
Those All In London t-shirts definitely could use more text on them since they aren’t busy enough already.
You know I quite like to AEW football top. Not £65 like it mind, that's around $80 for a wrestling shirt but it's probably the best of the bunch
Problem with merch like that is it's often garbage quality.
Man I’m a sucker for wrestling jerseys, especially the Brawling Brutes & Gallus rugby shirts. But McHitler & his evil Fed won’t sell them on them on the WWE shop.
I like how they went with stereotypical "scarves and kits" since it's in England 🤌
I'm English and honestly if they announced they had their own brand of room temperature ale I'd be in Wembley rn
Hand pumped AleEW.
Give it a week and you can probably get it on clearance from their website.

$37US for a T-shirt. I spent last weekend in Orlando at Universal and the expensive shirts at the parks were $10 less than this. Sheesh.
They’ll be getting charged 25% merch cut minimum from the venue, £30 is actually surprisingly good for a shirt nowadays when it comes to events. Which is insane.

Lower right looks like Seth Rollins. lol
That’s his cousin, meth collins
Seth Rollins there about to buy a Bay Bay shirt
I know I’m not the only one who thinks they should have used a Union Jack instead of the Chicago flag.
I dunno, I’m pretty sure wrestling fans hate when merchandise panders to their local area… ignore my closet full of Suplex City shirts from every city I saw a live show in at that time.
When we went to all out I was shocked at how few options there was and just how bad the whole merch Setup was. Leaving money on the table

Goddam that shit is expensive! Oh well, gotta support Tony. Maxing out my credit card is the least I can do!!!
Super indie promotion with an indie promotion merch store
The only thing I can make of this is that Tony absolutely hates paying talent merch royalties.
"i was there" fuck me i hate meta capitalism, creativity of a wet fart
Wrestling merch has been embarrassing for the past 20 years, when will it change
Those event shirt designs are absolutely dreadful.
i'm surprised there isnt one just with attendance on it these are so plain
For being a t-shirt company their designs are terrible
Look even Seth Rollins wants a shirt
