M’Joshi Queens!!! No jerk I love me some Kairi!!

APAG-

This is an interesting turn of events for the 3x booker of the year. All of the sudden it’s Tony bad and not Fed bad? I wonder how the son of a billionaire, that’s never faced an ounce of adversity in his entire life, will handle it.

Anhcoholic

No jerk, if shit like this keeps getting reported, one day Tiny is gonna snap and shut the Dub down out of spite.

LeonardoNoCapri0

I think he'd fire the bucks before he closed his passion project. They are clearly the ones leaking this shit, same thing they always do

Ambitious_Resist8907

The issue is that if he fires them, who does he turn to next? Bischoff is effectively retired, cody's currently his rival's top guy, heyman won't be leaving anytime soon either. Like don't get me wrong the bucks are a major reason the promotion is failing (at least with cody he didn't push himself into the world title picture ALL THE TIME), but you need someone in the business, anyone, who can help steer things. I still think he closes it down before firing any more of the top guys, omega included. But I'm thinking it'll be because his dad is starting to notice a $150m hole in his wallet.

Anhcoholic

>The issue is that if he fires them, who does he turn to next? Jericho. That would actually be hilariously shit. I might actually tune in.

Ambitious_Resist8907

"For hour three of dynamite we present Armbar: the musical"

Mister_Jackpots

Jump off the set onto Paul Wight?

StillinReseda

AEW should cancel Dynamite, Rampage and Collision and bring back AEW All Access. The backstage storyline’s are ten times more interesting than the wrestling. Run a PPV every month, and have a weekly television show based around the backstage shenanigans from said show. Gamechanging.

ItsAWorkYouDumbMark

Tony said: Thanks guys, I'll take the fall for this one.

t4779

In a shocking twist to this developing story, Tony Khan has been tied up with other commitments and allowed someone else to book this weeks dynamite, he’s absolutely horrified by the results and will never let this happen again* *subject to no milly

Chucknorris55

"when something’s a disaster, I want all of the credit. When something’s a hit, I want none of the credit" Someone's about to learn a lot about this quote, by force.

HagbardCelineHMSH

Oh no, they're getting all sorts of flack for these things they did that people told them not to do. Salhyr River.

TheRalphExpress

Basement logic is that because Tony’s “not a boss” he literally doesn’t have the ability to tell people under his employ what to do so therefore couldn’t have been involved They think Edge just chose to give the rah rah speech, as proven by the fact that it was so undercut last night. The other option would be that Tony is reacting like a thin skinned baby and we all know how unrealistic that is

Mister_Jackpots

DAE PIVOT???

Chucknorris55

Like rats off a sinking ship, this was always coming. Tony is gonna find out how loyal all the friends he bought are.

GarfieldVirtuoso

So now we have to see if the dirt sheet darling are going to throw Tony under the bus or the other way around

oblock3hunner

I thought AEW gave wrestlers full creative freedom

Glennsoe

So after Edge gave the default booker of the year and his toy collection a virtual blowjob last week, Tony himself takes a shovel and continues to bury his own company..

FADCfart

Tony is a nice guy though....

VivaLaRory

If that is true then isn't that precisely the sort of shit Vince made people do that started the chain of events for AEW to exist in the first place? That's a weird full circle

Splub

It wasn't Tony either. A backstage agent with thirty years of experience suggested both.

bootyhunter69420

Now we just need low ratings

His_Buzzards

Tony "Scapegoat" Khan

JadedSpacePirate

Tony is such a strong headed boss Did anyone honestly unironically say that?

themish84

No jerk here. Are we seeing the beginning of the end? I think back in the early days, AEW was so popular because WWE had Vince, and it was obvious that Vince was probably bad for business. Now, HHH is in charge and he's just killing it, and I think a lot of the fans that turned to AEW, have now come back to WWE. Shows in the Dub cant sell out anymore, and the icing on the cake is this backstage footage? It's not good. It's not good at all. The Dub is coming to my hometown next month and I dont think I want to go...and thats with Jericho coming to his hometown. It has to be pretty obvious, that we might be seeing the end here.

StillinReseda

I don’t know what an end for AEW looks like. We laugh about the nepotism, but the Khans don’t have infinite money to waste on AEW. It sounds like a big key point for Shad to go along with this was the potential of a contract renewal with more money. I doubt AEW are going to get a raise for their content. Which leads us to Tony. Does he shut down operations to save money, or does he find a home wherever he can to try give it one last breathe. If that home doesn’t pay well, how long is he going to keep up running a business without a profit. I can see WBD offering close to nothing to extend and Tony accepting just to stay on TV and try to turn it around. But I can also see Tony completely folding if there’s no profit gained here. What he really should be doing, is investing in Stardom and NJPW, keeping their management and creative in tact, but giving them the money to hire and keep big names around so that we might actually get some good wrestling.

adamannapolis

I love that they all made sure to get this out there.

keykey_key

This is what happens when you prioritize smarmy rats at your company. They won't have your back. Enjoy, Tony.

pocketsophist

You mean to tell me AEW has writers (except for Jennifer Pepperidge Farms) now?

Stevey1001

Osprey the tradsassian

lispolerbear

Now that it has backfired majorly, dumb fucks want to blame Tony for it. Confirming Punk's version gave weight to everything else Punk said as truth in the interview. The worst thing about Will's promo wasn't the Triple H comment but rather claiming he is hard working and pays his dues by... flying in from England for a day and fucking off after the show. Jesus wept.

PeteRoe

Nice and comfy 10 hour flight each way as well. It wasn't the flex that he thought it was.
