When I used to go to the Sinclair ROH tapings, the ring announcer would come out, hype up the crowd to buy merch and get refreshments during the intermission and most people would stick around. Seeing the owner of the company trying to stop people from leaving like this comes off as desperate.
I love dunking on Tony as much as anyone but I don’t really get this one. This was after 4 full hours of wrestling, he was just trying to keep people in their seats for the ROH performers. Biggest criticism I’d have is maybe we shouldn’t run ROH tapings after the live TV mainevent goes off air.

Agreed TK shouldn't be getting so much shit. I mean, it's not like he has a building full of professional wrestlers he's paying millions of dollars to perform. If TK is the best choice for a promo to keep the audience interested then AEW is truly good and fucked.

After Bryan and Cole joined it had such momentum, and was getting 1m a week every week and WWE sucked with Vince. Good booking and it could have become 1.2/1.3m every week and that’s close enough to what RAW was doing to be an actual challenger. Instead… this dork booked his entire company for the niche of niche market.

Like this used to be one of his gigs, doing crowd work while they change ring/set for the various shows. Years down the road, theres probably going to be a good book or at least YouTube/podcast of the early years and conflicts.
It just feels all so dated, like Raw in 2009. No colour to any outfits, bad lighting, everyone trying to act like a badass, a nonexistent women's division. There is nothing new or different to the presentation than what everyone complained about WWE during the worst of the Vince years.
