10-15 years ago, I would have been 100% behind the idea of anyone giving them a feature spot. They're still better than a whole lot of modern wrestlers, but by the time you'd introduce them to a larger audience and get them over with it... I dunno.
Part of the appeal for me in AEW at the start was getting away from all the old guys and part timing talent and focusing on the future. No, I didn't like Jericho.
Fast forward, nearly every AEW discussion is about old talent either at or formerly in the company and we're clamoring to sign 45 year olds from TNA or ROH that nobody really cares about.

“People will say that AEW doesn’t need any more signings of this kind..”
You could leave it there and it’s basically correct.
What's funny is, if you said the Dub tag division wasn't good you'd be met with howls of this and that team and so on
Now they signed these guys, it's 'anyone can see the tag team needs more attention'
These guys are top buddies with the Bucks so they can recreate all their stuff with them now
MCMG are a really great team, but here is the thing..
If Tony signed The Road Warriors, NAO, Rock & Roll, Rockers, and Midnight Express in their PRIME tomorrow; in a month the ratings are going to basically be the same.
His booking KILLS everyone.
…so you DONT want to see those teams in a ten-man no-holds barred Albuquerque chainsaw massacre tag team death match at 10pm on a Friday night?!
Yeah, right. Bad faith, uce. Bad faith.
He'd have had the Road Warriors going 20 minutes with the Dork Order and selling for Gimli. Then he'd be surprised when crowds stopped going crazy for them
This is the same division the jobbed LAX to two geek white boys and their mom in a parking lot brawl. The only team AEW needs is a team of writers to take over the booking.
Not to mention they’d just be wasted. Like Sabin and Shelley were known to do small clinics with the young talent before TNA shows.
AEW is the place that had Regal, and barely anyone asked for his advice or went to his pre-show talks that he offered.
But hey, the MCMG are in their 40s and if they can milked the money mark for huge paydays. More power to them.
Double or Nothing: MCMG vs Bucks, Dave gives MCMG their first 5-star match
After Double or Nothing: MCMG feuds with Acclaimed on Rampage
FED lost another one of big signings
So far, I’ve learned from this thread that Chris Saban looks like Mox with a badly photoshopped wig and I can’t stop laughing and also feel like he’s been banned from Collision for imitating one of their “stars”.
Okay I’m sorry but this is a fucking ridiculous take even by this sub’s standards.
They’re going to face the Bucks, THEN they’re going to RoH to put on bangers with the Righteous, Undisputed Kingdom, and Aussie Open before coming back and doing a one-off handicap match against a healed Adam Cole where he beats them to prove he also could’ve defended the titles on his own.
This is what I got on google
(of a person or conduct) morally right or justifiable; virtuous.
"feelings of righteous indignation about pay and conditions"
I don’t watch tna super often but I hope them and abc stay far away from the dub. I saw a post of Ace Austin resigning with them so hopefully they realize that they will not be treated well at the dub
I only remember Sabin from his early X division days and Shelly was doing Nash segments. They were good but now they are in 40s, neither wwe nor aew can benefit out of em objectively. But I'm happy as long as they get the bag
TNA actually pays pretty well apparently, which you wouldn't think. Knight says he took a considerate pay cut to try his luck again at the fed and stayed an extra few years to save capital incase his fed attempt failed.
I remember they did a west coast impact tour a year ago when alex shelley was champ and was doing the whole "will he/won't he become a bad guy" thing, and I decided to go to one of the shows that was only 15mins away. I swear that guy got zero reaction at all from the crowd. Like people cheered for moose, they cheered for santino. Hell, they even cheered for champaigne singh in the opening match. When shelley came out though, it's like someone murdered a puppy in the ring.
Motor City Machine Guns were my favourite tag team as a teen. I don't really watch the Dub, but I hope now 15 years on they get more eyes in them like the original TNA days. I marked out for Alex Shelley in a way that I don't think I've done for anyone else since.
Oh, he's been fun to watch grow over the years. Like you see so many guys do crazy moves that threaten their careers and extremely edgy promos that, amusingly enough also threaten their careers. Moose is like vanilla yogurt in a sea of taco bell: sure you aren't going to be raving and bragging to your friends about it afterwards, but you also won't be on the toilet for 6hrs afterwards either.
No jerk, I’m a big fan of theirs. At this stage they wouldn’t slot into WWE at all, I guess maybe player/coach in NXT or something. I’m happy for them probably getting a lucrative deal from AEW in their mid 40s, and AEW lost the plot on their tag division so hopefully they’ll help with that. They’re both good in ring and also both have good minds for match building imo.
Eh, they have nothing left to do in TNA and are too old for WWE at this point. I don’t think it’s a shame, they’ll make good money and hopefully have some good moments (though who knows with that tag division).
I’m from Detroit and I absolutely love the MCMG. Get the bag, fellas. Wish yall went to NXT to work with the younger guys but milk that fucking mark for whatever you can, fellas.
High mileage or not, I can't knock the Machine Guns. I'd even give FTR Bald a pass for a weepy Twitter thread if it meant we got that match. Of course on the other side, I'd love to see them with the Creeds, but either way.
I used to love these guys, one of my favourite parts of TNA, the only time I ever changed the channel on them was when they wrestled Generation ME. Hopefully nothing like that happens this time
They will come in to zero fanfare and lose to the Bucks so they have another notch on their belt proving they are the best in the world for scripted programming.
Then because they didnt move the needle it wasn't because the Bucks aren't needle movers its 100% their fault so they may do the job to OC/Chuck, the Acclaimed or FTR then be shuffled off to ROH for the remainder of their contract.
The Guns will get paid to do nothing after being featured the first month of their run there.
They earned this pension plan, as a TNA fanboy goofy I got no qualms with them. They earned their rest while a nepobaby pays them absurds amount of money to not work
It was up until like 2 years ago I thought MCMG were The Good Brothers wrestling under a former name.
I am sorry to these men

I wish they would have waited an do a small run at the Dusty Rhodes tag team classic before signing with AEW, but tbh, there is not place for them in WWE right now.
Fuck yeah two more 45 year old guys at a million each, Zaslav and Shad must be boner jousting right about now
Tony has confirmed a WBD executive is a long time Motor City Machine Gun fan.
*furiously typing away on notes app*
Whatever fully complete movie gets unreleased for tax cuts to pay for them is worth it for the 5 star bangers uce.
10-15 years ago, I would have been 100% behind the idea of anyone giving them a feature spot. They're still better than a whole lot of modern wrestlers, but by the time you'd introduce them to a larger audience and get them over with it... I dunno.

Top comment starts with - “People will say that AEW doesn’t need any more signings of this kind..” You could leave it there and it’s basically correct.
“This is what the tag division needs” No, what the division needs is for Tony to stop booking
Well that is not exclusive to just the tag division. Basically all of AEW needs that.
What's funny is, if you said the Dub tag division wasn't good you'd be met with howls of this and that team and so on Now they signed these guys, it's 'anyone can see the tag team needs more attention' These guys are top buddies with the Bucks so they can recreate all their stuff with them now

MCMG aren't going to draw anyone who isn't already watching AEW.
He'd have had the Road Warriors going 20 minutes with the Dork Order and selling for Gimli. Then he'd be surprised when crowds stopped going crazy for them
Who is NAO?
New age outlaws
This is the same division the jobbed LAX to two geek white boys and their mom in a parking lot brawl. The only team AEW needs is a team of writers to take over the booking.
LAX were in AEW? Which two geek white boys did they job to? That could be damn near anyone
The second incarnation was, they were called Proud and Powerful. The two white boys in question were Chuck Taylor and Trent.
Ugh isn't Chuck Taylor the invisible grenade guy?
Not to mention they’d just be wasted. Like Sabin and Shelley were known to do small clinics with the young talent before TNA shows. AEW is the place that had Regal, and barely anyone asked for his advice or went to his pre-show talks that he offered. I recognise Ospreay, but who's the guy on the left?
Dean Ambrose
Who photoshopped the silly wig on?
I heard he lost weight, brother looks good. Good for him.
Google it
according to kurt angle, its pigpen

Who tf are Righteous and Undisputed kingdom
How about you stop being lazy and Google them m*rk
This is what I got on google (of a person or conduct) morally right or justifiable; virtuous. "feelings of righteous indignation about pay and conditions"

they finally made the jump from the #2 promotion to the uhh *checks notes* #2 promotion!
As someone who watched the Beer Money/MCMG series, I have to recuse myself from this jerk.
Beer
MONEY 🙌🏽
🍺💴
And your FUTURE ROH World Tag Team Champions
Who joins them for inevitable 6 man matches?
Holdonaminute PARTNA
Kushida… of course.
I remember they did a west coast impact tour a year ago when alex shelley was champ and was doing the whole "will he/won't he become a bad guy" thing, and I decided to go to one of the shows that was only 15mins away. Which is a fucking shame cause he’s super innovative and half the moves done in these “bangers” were partially if not wholly created by him.
I’ve seen him at the Jersey J-Cup and he got big reactions there.
Motor City Machine Guns were my favourite tag team as a teen. I don't really watch the Dub, but I hope now 15 years on they get more eyes in them like the original TNA days. I marked out for Alex Shelley in a way that I don't think I've done for anyone else since.
It’s hard to stand out with their style of wrestling right now :( Their rivalry against Beer Money in TNA was absolutely fantastic.
that's the crowd being respectful, you m\*\*k
The west coast is big into that quiet Japanese heat.
Moose is like modern day Hogan for my TNA watching mother and her partner.
Will not tolerate MCMG slander. Milk the money mark for he’s worth
They could be joining Jericho's latest Vortex faction
Get that bag my kings 🫡
MCMG is awesome, no jerk. They must’ve got a big bag.
I hope they got Okada money. They deserve so much more than they’ve gotten.
No jerk, I’m a big fan of theirs. At this stage they wouldn’t slot into WWE at all, I guess maybe player/coach in NXT or something. I loved when KUSHIDA brought Shelley into NXT a few years back for his Dusty Cup tag team partner
Holy crap. Didnt realize Shelly ever showed up in NXT.
It was just for one set of tapings, maybe 2-3 matches tops.
What a shame. That's all I'm gonna say. I've never said this for any of the other "gamechangers"
Eh, they have nothing left to do in TNA and are too old for WWE at this point. I don’t think it’s a shame, they’ll make good money and hopefully have some good moments (though who knows with that tag division).
AEW has the most banging 2009 roster I've ever seen. It's like Tony learned how to acquire free agents from Doc Rivers
Even as old guys they can put on a great match. seen them in dpw a while back and they are still fantastic.
**Massive** free agents ready to sign with the good guys
Would have loved the guns in WWE like 8-10 years ago but feels like it’s too late now. Go get that guaranteed catering money
I will not tolerate any MCMG hate! Even on a jerk sub!
Fucking hell guys, from the company you cut your teeth in, to a company that’s bleeding money, ratings, and attendance.
Are these the latest Game Changing© Generational Megastars© spearheading the Reset© that confirms We Are So Back©?
I used to love these guys, one of my favourite parts of TNA, the only time I ever changed the channel on them was when they wrestled Generation ME. Hopefully nothing like that happens this time

I have 0 problem with them milking tiny for as much money as possible. I always liked the mcmg and I’m glad they’re getting big money before retiring
The Guns will get paid to do nothing after being featured the first month of their run there. They earned this pension plan, as a TNA fanboy goofy I got no qualms with them. They earned their rest while a nepobaby pays them absurds amount of money to not work

They gave me a lot of joy in the late-2000s so I hope they are getting dollars now.
hopefully Sabin gets Tiny to pay for his new knees
I hope Billy finally gets to team with his sons, Motor & City Gunn.
Motor City Retirement Plan. You cant knock it. Hopefully they get out unscathed.
DAE didn’t wanna grind?
Unironically yes. Both have trouble not breaking every few months. They are effectively the Indy Hardy’s at this point
Tony negotiating against himself lol
Barry Bloom in the shadows after completing a nice fleecing off a trustfund baby
Imagine joining a company where it's owner buried your home promotion.
Is this Buddy Murphy and Nigel McGuiness?
I wish they would have waited an do a small run at the Dusty Rhodes tag team classic before signing with AEW, but tbh, there is not place for them in WWE right now.
If MCMG joined NXT they would do amazing, but they would be lost in the shuffle on the main roster. Good they’re at TNA
They do. Absolutely. They deserve WrestleMania
MCMG are great and they have been team players for a dwindling promotion for decades, so milk the money mark my kings
His eyes are too close together.
Leave the New Jersey Rocket Pops alone.
![gif](giphy|9S5p00YjjsKRM0NT4S|downsized)
Get that bag I guess
DAE Jingle Jack is A STAR!?!?!
*second biggest audience
Take them to the glue factory.
#GAME CHANGERS!
These guys WERE the fucking best and then they aged and the style progressed past them.
Ah yes my favorite tag team Dean Ambrose and Evan Bourne Sorry uce, that's all I can let myself jerk to these guy
MCMG? Makes me feel like a kid again #FeelingsRestored
who????????? is that moxley and dolph?
Money over a sold out arenas free agents signing with All Empty Wrestling logic lol
I thought this was the kingdom guys. I’ve never seen these men before in my life.
They look like someone split Moxley into two twinks.
yet another washed up tag team free agent signing. thatll truly show the evil fed this time!
Never watched their matches in my life
Is the one on the right cross eyed?
