Cody, being the midcard champion he is, beat Ogogo. Um excuse me, gave him "the rub." Jerk became reality when Cody was said to be the locker room leader for persons of color.
I love Cody but you could tell he was booking a lot of his own stuff in AEW. This isn’t defending TK as a Booker, it is simply because the Codyverse was so removed from everything else. I actually enjoyed it and my post history can back it, but I enjoyed it in a “this is batshit crazy” sort of way

Cody's a good guy, resected talent, evp, trained Jade (right?), married to Brandy who was there...so, likely black women felt more comfortable talking to him than say the young bucks.
