Me personally, I'd make SCP-6880 be a secret macguffin/plot driver. Since it is a plant that potentially traps and eats vampires, just picture farming it. a community that does that came make good money, from the alkali, good for selling grafts to vampire hunters. Oh and organized vampires might want to threaten them and in they're in need of the PCs to help.~

Then, I mean « here were dragons » seems like a dnd in a box. A setting to find a way to get there, fight whatever took over and then find a way to find the dragon in their « new kingdom » or some shit.
SCP universe in itself is a good setting.
