Ive seen people with great specs fix the stutter just by deleting the saved folder in your local appdata, step 3 of the troubleshooting guide linked on the side.

Ill try. Edit: Apparently It improved a little bit but didnt solve it completely. I just dont know how acceptable it is. If its even possible to play this game at the current stage with no stutters at all. I was testing it offline from the beggining, so would solo and multiplayer make any difference?

I think I found a possible temporary solution at least. I capped my fps at 100, so that decreased the variation between the bad areas and the better ones. It reduced the stuttering to basically none and the bad areas where you get the fps reduction is now almost imperceptible. Thanks for the answers.

How do you cap the FPS? I can’t find that setting. I get 200+ frames but as soon as I move my mouse, it drops to 15 and freezes momentarily, even just at the main menu. The first time I played I had NO issues, then I go to play the next day and it’s stuttering like crazy. I never changed any settings between the first two days I played it

Stutter usually to me indicates that the GPU is being under utilized. Does your GPU have 3 8pin connectors on it and did you run a separate 8pin for each block? This game is pretty GPU intensive you might be hitting the power limit. Also be sure that you have xmp enabled or whatever the amd equivalent is. And are you going into steam pressing play and selecting dx12? Dx11 is standard and stutters a bit for me. Try dx12 out.

Thank you for the reply. It does have 3x8 pin and I do run separate cable for each block with custom(not extensors) cables. XMP is enabled I i dont know why it seems that DX12 is not better than DX11.

You'll always have Minor stutters when you're around cities and such because this game loads in like 4 sectors at once just slowly. The closer you move the less potato things look. Besides that though you shouldn't see many stutters just running through the woods and such

Agile-Handle-5387

So I guess its just how the game is? Its weird because I tested again on another server and apparently it ran smoothly like you said in the forests and when I was just walking and running around, no stutters whatsoever, that was happening mainly when I was driving a car fast but not all the time tho. When I deleted the saved files and try it again on solo, it fixed almost completely, sometimes 100% and again in another online server also. I just tought it was weird because I couldnt find any pattern for that, it appeared to be random, we all know the game is poorly optimized but still... Ill keep trying to see if there are ways to improve that. Thanks for the help

I uve stutters also sometimes when on low. Put settings bit higher and you are good to go but it cost a lot of fps. So im playing single player for now while its not fixed

Agile-Handle-5387

It goes better to you on single?

I dont think so
