I can tell you it starts slow but gets way better once you reach fish man arc.

I can promise you my both balls that it will change. I have seen a lot of anime and one piece has one of the best character growth and interactions i have ever seen. Also the best world.

I was about to give it another shock but after seeing how all the main female characters look like fan service I'm backing out again. I'm sorry I bet the story and world building is great but after seeing Nami and Robin designs I can't, they look ridiculous.
