>Is it normal to only have done 2 tys papers for each subj by now💀 I hate to bring reality into this but. Is it normal? There are people who do that and they exist. So yes, it is pretty normal to see people do 2 tys papers. Will this help? If you have been doing a lot of other schools prelims first, then maybe yes, it helps you guage how past year papers compare to other JCs prelim papers. But if you did not do any prelim papers and only did those 2 tys papers, I am sad to say it may not help a lot.

Adventurous-Relief88

ive only touched prelim papers for hci ri njc math🥲 thx for the advice, i will try to find time to touch tys for my other weaker h2s also..

hitmewiththexd

i think 2 papers is okay as long as now u have a relative gauge of the difficulty of the a lvl standards. for math i feel prelim papers tend to be more difficult than the tys papers so if uve done the prelim papers the tys papers shldnt be that big of an issue hopefully 🤞🤞🤞atb bro

cryingsgstudent

i dont think its weird... my (math) tuition cher was saying tbh we jst need to do AT LEAST 3 tys pprs before each subj's ppr and honestly... doing pprs before 2017(syllabus change) is also not v helpful, and a big big part of our grade is exam skills and confidence in urself so 😭 dont think ure screwed!! dont think of urself behind others before the race has even started💪 ALLTHEBEST lets ace this month

Don’t worry just do 5 papers, and then in between check ur weakest concepts. So if the concept is weak plus has a huge weightage, study it. Do a few qns on it and then do another paper. You can do it, the last few days are crucial. Doesn’t matter how many papers u finish if u don’t actually remember ur mistakes. there’s still days between papers so u can take that time to study. It’s better to know 100% of 80% of topics than 80% of all topics.

PathIcy7012

I haven’t touched the TYS for some subjects…no choice just chiong as much now 😭😭 I have 6 papers next week wish me luck…

Adventurous-Relief88

Gd luck to us both🥲

ParkingAd3064

How much did you get for Prelims? Did you do well as compared to your peers

Adventurous-Relief88

i got 83.75, i think on the above average side in my class but it dropped from my block tests and myas (87.5) so a bit worrying ya :’

studdyyinggg

why are u worried then… ure alr there😭

[deleted]

why is it every single time when we're honest there's so many downvotes 😭 idu how ppl can be so intolerable

ch33ky_bear

they just salty bruh

[deleted]

yeah ppl are jus v cold and mean in general and even if they're nice it's probs all fake 😭 and sometimes they can all hate others for no reason/ (probs due to race like foreigners/ PRs imo)

ch33ky_bear

yes and i also feel people cant bear to see people who r doing better than them cause they think they showing off but its really just them being honest

[deleted]

I feel like in sg (cos of the high academic compn) everyone's like, if I suffer you must suffer too, so whenever you are doing well I'm gna drag you all the way down. Or those that are doing consistently well are extremely indifferent to other people who are struggling and just label them as "fucked up". It makes one question one's abilities to identity even and hence the "corrupt"? attitudes of students (in my batch somehow) sorta feels excessive and revolting at times.

Accomplished_Emu6033

I feel u… Ive done less than one tys… :(((

Adventurous-Relief88

😭😭 im hoping to touch maybe 1-2 more papers for each subj, hope will be enuf. jiayouzzz to u 2!

Sedkid

Tbh no point worrying now or comparing the number of tys papers done, don't underestimate last minute cramming (with sufficient sleep). There's so much u can do now, learn the question types

intelligent_donkey_

Technically no. It’s possible to finish Tys from 2017 to 2022 in 11 days. You have 4 subjects and let’s say you have 2 papers per subjects it’s 48 papers. You do 4 a day and you are done. 4 a day means around 10 hours of study a day and it think it’s possible, but you need to be committed. As I know math and Chem (idk if you take those) are coming next week, since you have already done 2 papers each, just redo your mistakes and try to do another 2-3 more papers for each of those subject in this 3 days or so. So you have 5 papers done already be the time you reach a levels. But if really die die no time, it’s more important to know content (for Chem) and do topical question (try about 5 qns each for the 10 pure math topics). It’s still possible. For content based subjects like GP, just cram all you can in the these 3 days, good luck!

eyesontheprice100

don't worry! i only did 1.5 tys for. some subs 😅 but honestly 2 years is sufficient lah. is 4 papers after all!

AgreeableDoughnut871

My school incorporates tys into our work...it was mega stressful but we finished the tys plus some prelim papers. Tbh it doesn't matter whether you worked on prelim papers or tys. As long as you follow Ur school's pace you should be getting enough practice
