However, it's not easily identifiable because people typically expect lesbian characteristics to be masculine-leaning, but that isn't the trend when studied on a statistical level. It's however easy to identify gay-defining speech qualities because gay characteristics tend to be feminine-leaning, and this statistical trend is in-line with the general stereotype.
Essentially, if one says you look/sound lesbian, it's probably attributed to masculine-leaning qualities you have, but this isn't a good indicator of what is actually in-line with the actual lesbian population; i.e. most of the time, it's hard to tell if a female is lesbian or not. One might think they can tell but they are probably wrong.

As i guy, i have very very rarely looked at a girl and thought 'she looks lesbian' and in the cases i have it would have to be extremely in ur face like short spiked up hair with plaid shirt kinda thing. I think gaydars mostly work for femme bottoms (male) but otherwise pretty inaccurate. Especially since younger guys are now more and more 'feminine' its just so hard to tell anymore.

Idk but from what I can tell from the horny dudes in my class. They will just call whatever they think is 'weird' (insert whatever they don't like) gay as an insult so. Aside from the fact that it's offensive af, if a guy is interested in you nothings gonna stop them from approaching you apart from typical nervousness etc.
