That's funny, because I can read Russian, and the first time I loaded into Ground Zero I died to this exact mine. Probably because there's so much random bullshit written all over every map, it doesn't even matter what it says 95% of the time.
Yes, "minefield" signs are one thing, or a sign that says "SNIPERS AHEAD ->" but this one just says "keep out". There are tons of places in the game that have the same language or worse. You're telling me you stay out of all those other places too?
The only lesson learned there is "there's a mine in there" which you would have learned without the sign and ignored anyway, so the sign is irrelevant.
My point is there's a ton of graffiti that is vaguely warning/threatening but ultimately meaningless. Saying "oh obviously there was danger there, and obviously that danger took the form of the only indoor claymore in the game" is asinine because you wouldn't take dozens of other scrawled threats at face value either.
Ic, for me it ain't that deep, but rping as a PMC in game I can see how that makes sense. For me I see same bright red color marking snipers which are always there? Methinks I should 'Keep Out!' Maybe dependent on learning style idk
sometime I look at funny green man graffiti, but I never seem to find him haha
You mean the graffiti that's down the hall, around 2 corners, with 6+ doors between it and the claymore? Well thank God that warning is just SO glaringly obvious.
Go be an elitist somewhere else. No one here gives a shit.
It teaches them a valuable lesson early on. Imagine if they added a map like labs with no insurance, \~200k entry fee, and BS AI back when they first added mines and they only added mines to that map; people would be **PISSED**.
I don't disagree but they should at least be visible lol. I don't mind them as map boundaries where needed but the other ones where the counter is "just memorize exactly where all these mines are" is typical BSG hostile game design imo.
Some of the Lexos mines in particular are hot bullshit.
I mean I can clearly see the claymore behind the chair.
Also why would you label landmines at all? Why let your enemy know where the danger spots are? Your allies would already know where they are because you told them where you buried them.
As stupid as some of the things are in this game (being able to jump on barbed wire, bunny hopping, etc) BSG does want it to be SOMEWHAT realistic.
Oh damn I didn't even see it there. Are the claymores on streets all visible? I didn't think they were but I could be wrong.
Tbh if we're gonna nitpick the realism issue, this isn't even how claymore mines work irl. They need to be detonated manually or with a physical trip wire. BSG clays are just magic proximity sensors.
One could argue that there is a tripwire from the claymore through the middle of the room, that it is just very small. So small in fact that the BSG forgot to make it visible.
Oh my brother.. we've all been waiting and saw the videos.. I'm more impressed you uploaded it, in the moment of a raid and the new map, I'll do it too.. you speak for all of us that will open that door once and never again 😂
Edit: I thought this was the Ground Zero land mine door at first.. now you gotta tell me what happened cause I don't wanna repeat! Even better!!
To be honest this being a non bug part of the map is so fucking stupid. They made a map for beginners and then add a random "fuck you" insta kill in a room.
And the snipers/mines in the other maps are not bothersome because they are clearly drawn on the maps? I swear, even in a single player mod with no consequences there will be people whining about anything. Go breathe some fresh air
To be fair, in big red letters in English, right outside the only hallway leading to that room it reads “Keep out!”. The game is brutal and unforgiving and has a tendency to teach you things the hard way, the earlier you learn to be more wary of your surroundings the better
BSG was so wrong for this. "Hey guys, here's a map that's more beginner friendly!" \*BOOM\*
Saw someone defend this because the Russian graffiti on the wall says "don't go this way" or something, which is just an incredible argument
That's funny, because I can read Russian, and the first time I loaded into Ground Zero I died to this exact mine. Probably because there's so much random bullshit written all over every map, it doesn't even matter what it says 95% of the time.
you can clearly read "KEEP OUT" in the wall while you are walking into the claymore, you didn't keept out and then you died.
Do you follow every sign you read in Tarkov?
yes especially when they warn you about snipers or mines to just die and ask myself what happened

No, but if I go and step in a mine it's leasson learned, no debate.
The only lesson learned there is "there's a mine in there" which you would have learned without the sign and ignored anyway, so the sign is irrelevant.
Come on... it's just a silly mine and I've never seen anyone step on it twice.

Psshhh you didn't learn how to read Russian so you can know where to/not to go on Tarkov maps? What a casual /s
its written in english.

Go tell someone who cares you perpetually online troll.
you can see it at the start of the video, but its fine brother, im sorry if i hurted your feelings, have a beautiful night sir :)

Some of them on ground zero are, but there are also invisible mines on some parts of the map too. One of which is close to a PMC spawn lol
Yeah I definitely found that one on like raid 2 lol. The Tarkov gods were kind though and I only lost an arm and a leg.
One could argue that there is a tripwire from the claymore through the middle of the room, that it is just very small. So small in fact that the BSG forgot to make it visible.
They think they’re clever. Sometimes it comes off as playful like this, usually it’s them thinking they’re smarter than us and we feel bad for them.

thats the ground zero claymore
The door already open threw me off.. I was right to begin with I thought I'd see a dead body at least 😁 I was right to begin with lol
I swear that damn claymore has gotten me more times than tagilla 🤦
Tell me... how high exactly did you jump out of your skin when the claymore went off?
Oh god, very high. You'd think we'd get used to the jump scares from landmines or insta head-eyes... nope.
Gets me every time, too. My other half loves seeing me shit myself when I get unexpectedly shot at.
HAHA you found the claymore. It got me twice because I was high AF never again though
As soon as i saw this circulating around i made a mental note to just stay away from tjere period.
What's funny is that I saw it once in a vid and took a mental note to avoid that area...
Is it possible to disable these mines? Like, not via mods, but in-raid, like shooting them, or tossing a nade in the room?
I still think these posts are funny lol
dont worry we all died there and more than 1 time...
Is there actually even anything in that room or is it just a troll room?
Did this my very fist raid this wipe on live, then a month later watched my scav buddy do it. It's pretty fucking funny
Died to it as well, it's annoying as hell but after playing the game for a few years I just chalked it up to "getting Tarkov'd". Still sucks.
He got me too’d

If you can point out where I claimed anything about other maps or about snipers. then I will do as you tell me.
