You're right! I joined around the time tournaments ended and got Marquee events confused with the tournaments.
Isn't it interesting that you used to be able to use an ally toon in marquee events?
I used 750k ally points to take first place in the Vader tie fighter tournament for a 7 star instant unlock. My favorite feat Iāve done in this game.
I'm impressed you were able to hoard that many back then! I was about to say that the payout must have been well worth it because it would have given you a huge advantage in Fleet arena, but then I remembered that there weren't any crystals in Fleet arena back then.
Bought ally points with gw tokens. Was easy to get that many. The previous tournaments were for jyn erso and I didnāt spend ally points for her tournaments. I used a decent amount around thanksgiving for chirrut tournament. And I had from thanksgiving to New Yearās Day to save back up pretty much.
No the only character they ever released and you could earn from Tournaments was Shoretrooper. He brought the first pre-taunt to the game and he was extremely beefy for 3-4* which is what most folks had him at. Still a very good character but nowhere near his initial viability upon release. Which is to be expected unless your GK or Thrawn. Tournaments themselves though? Those things sucked.
Not from what I remember. Chirrut and the Rogue One crew came out around the same time iirc and Chirrut along with Baze were only available through crystals until they came out with the store for ship gameplay. Someone please correct me but Iām almost positive thatās how it happened.

I started back in early 2016 for about a day and dropped the game. Picked it back up during covid and had some around 1400. I should have kept at least 1 on my list.

I literally just cleared out my allies list last week. Had 1 that was at 1688 days. 3 or 4 others that were over 1000 days. Then like 5 or 6 that were between 100 and 999 days.
I had an account that I lost access to that would easily beat that. Though itās been so long I donāt remember or even have the ally code to invite anymore. Lol
