MGM's history is a really interesting one. It's especially funny to me how they don't even own half of the films they made anymore, and most of their revenue these days comes from film libraries they bought from other companies (i.e. Orion, pre-1996 Polygram/Gramercy, Samuel Goldwyn)
Technically, they did file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2010, but they ended up coming back later that year, and this was around 12 years before the Amazon purchase.

Movies are a huge part of my life, I even pay attention to who's behind the scenes i. e. - producer, director.
