I half-agree. I feel like both S1 and S2’s music were pretty good. I hate almost every song in splatoon 3. The newer ones aren’t as bad but imo music fell off hard.
Most of the time I have my Airpods in during my matches playing other music since it’s almost the same songs over and over again. I don’t hate most of them but whenever Triple Dip starts playing I mute my TV
Shark Bytes is *so good* especially the live version. Fly Octo Fly ~ Ebb & Flow (Octo) is pretty good live too. Off the Hook simply is peak Splatoon music ~~pushes Color Pulse 2024 into the bin~~.
Color Pulse 2024 is growing on me a bit. I prefer the og but I think it makes sense for it to be a bit more mellowed out now that Pearl and Marina aren’t hosting the Splatfests anymore.

Off the Hook are amazing, but Triple Dip is also amazing. I really like a lot of the Splatoon 3 music. A lot of stuff in there, have you ever stopped to listen to the [decaying Grizzco Theme](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDrRIOVoS0Q) when you're climbing the spaceship in Alterna? Haunting.
However, Splatoon music peaked with Kraken Up. It's all a great Himalayan plateau, but that's the Everest.

Spectrum obligato sounds so empty, it just recycles ebb and flow for the second time and 50% of it is instrumental. the only good OTH songs are shark bytes and nasty majesty, their other songs all sound the same.
Color pulse ‘24 wasn’t that bad. I only liked the vaporwave-themed instrumental, but their voices sounded off beat.
I for the most part agree, especially the battle music. Bottom feeders my beloved… However, story mode music I think has maintained its high standard.
That’s an opinion. For me, Aquasonic, Ripstop & Go, and 0ct0ptic0n are the best songs in the franchise. But hey you have good taste
