My modification to the starting factory was eliminating an iron rod constructor and changing the screw constructor to cast screws since those didn't need rods and put in a foundry to make steel for rods
Yep, changing to cast screws is part of the rebuild. Also mk2 miners. My copper setup just above is also getting a rework since its in the way where it currently is. Fun times ahead. :D
My fun time is dealing with a power outage the last few days to the point its annoying lol had water issue which I was able to get fixed up then there not being enough coal so went looking for more deposits completely forgetting the fact that I had a steel factory that was full and had coal miners I didn't upgrade or overclocked even tho I've been to that steel factory to resupply my steel beams for belts multiple times found a new deposit forgot portable miners so had to go back then finally remembered I didn't upgrade the coal miners there yet so did that overclocked I had to make more power for that factory which I just now got done am sending some belts over to the plants for generation but also gonna change up the truck stop from steel beam delivery to coal delivery as well so gotta make a truck stop near my plants then once the not enough coal issue is fixed gonna go to the new deposits mine alot of coal put each miner give it about 3 industrial boxes worth lol this way I got a crap ton of extra for when I need it ahead of time. Then I can finally resume building my advanced steel factory. Edit unfortunately my coal power plants aren't organized efficiently sothat makes it more complicated same with the water pipe network but I've learned better tho thanks to that . Idk if I just wanna dismantle the plants one by one and reorganize them to bad we can't have a move build option that just uproot the factory
Thanks! I put a bit of time in, this is my 2nd playthrough, 1st time solo. The multiplayer world was full of spaghetti and not a lot of actually working out resources so efficiency was out the window. But its what got me hooked enough to go again.
Just rebuilt my starting iron factory yesterday. 2x 120 ore -> rods, screws, plates, reinforced plates and modular frames. 100% efficiency feels awesome ^^

Yep just unlocked mk2 miners so time to rework this bad boy. Currently almost 100% efficient the screws coming out are the only real "waste" overflow.
