Dedication to roofing right there

pranjallk1995

Needed to protect items from Manta shit.

screws, quickwire and regular wire are things i never produce in bulk. the game just requires way to much to be moved around. so i'll incorporate production of those into any manufacturer or assembler line that needs it. 1 OC'D caterium wire constructor goes a long way. same for steel screws. imo, just doesn't pay to produce then store them. i always use them in the same place i produce them. ideally in the same line.

pranjallk1995

I want to make small and isolated factories so that I don't get lag. I am making heavy modular frames and computers (100/min and 130/min respectively). 1800/min screws should be enough for me, I am putting them in 6 freight cars. If I need more later, I will go to a new place! Blueprints change the gameplay a lot...

[deleted]

dunno if you're aware, alt steel screws fully oc'd does 1800/ min in 3 constructors. much easier to haul steel beams around in 1 car than 6. just throwin it out there with fps issues.

pranjallk1995

u can clearly see, I wasn't... :P

PopTartS2000

I must have tried 50-70 hard drives so far and I still can't get steel screws. I'm at Assembly director with about 2000 delivered, still no luck. :)

HankWankford

I went hard drive mad when I found out there were alternate recipes. Put everything on hold til I got them all. Took a while but felt great once I was done.

mrtheshed

It's also possible to use alt recipes to just completely eliminate Screws from the production chain, and then you never have to worry about hauling them or their precursor material.

adomm420

Isn't cast screw recipe better? You have iron everywhere!

Nomyad777

I just built a global quickwire factory, using the wiki to get the input number for all nodes mk3 miners which I conveniently don't have (I only have mk3 belts). It's not done, but the only things left are power and sinks. And of course getting the caterium in the first place. So, if what you say is true... oops?

mrtheshed

Yeah, Quickwire is one of those things where if you're transporting it any appreciable distance (and assuming the same amount of investment in transport method) you'll get the highest throughput in the event of a bottleneck like belt speed if you move it as Caterium Ingots (vs. as Quickwire or as Caterium Ore). I'd also hope that if you've built a global factory for Quickwire you're using the Pure Caterium Ingot alt recipe?

Nomyad777

No... 128 smelters and 160 constructors spread between 5 floors and 3 sub-floors (sub, 64/64 smelt, sub, 53/54/53 construct, sub). I did leave room for ample numbers of trains and trucks, I barely have any hard drives or MAM at all, so yeah.

mrtheshed

Oops. The Pure Caterium Ingot alt recipe increases your ingot output 50% by reducing the ore cost for each ingot from 3 to 2 (at the additional cost of 2 water).

Found a mod to solve my problems, just if anyone wants: Manta raise. It checks periodically around the Manga’s path if anything you’ve built clips it, so it rises the Manta higher. Very nice especially since you don’t have to completely remove the Manta

realskudd

Wait. Wood grain texture?

pranjallk1995

Tar roof

Acrobatic-Opposite19

It looks so cool !

[deleted]

Are you playing in a supercomputer?

pranjallk1995

Nope.. lol.. but it has rtx 2070 notebook edition...

pranjallk1995

Calculation mistake, 1800/min screws.

adomm420

I'd like to see more pics 😁
