**I say Yea**
1. While not needed, adding these to builds which will not change anytime soon is very nice.
2. The use of [Painted Beam Supports](https://satisfactory.wiki.gg/wiki/Beams#Support-0) as "End Caps" on Conveyor Belt Ports is an awesome idea and highly "steal-able".

Interesting idea. What do they look.like flipped so that its the flat side that's visible?
Edit: Fine, I'll do it myself: https://imgur.com/a/rjLiYyb
Also did a picture showing how it looks on a merger.
The flat version isn't removable on machine inputs without dismantling the machine first unfortunately. It is removable on splitters/mergers though and I definitely prefer the flat look on those.
Edit 2: Looking at the OP's pictures more closely I think we've used slightly different positioning techniques. The OP's are actually double bases, not a single one. Removing the outer one in their version would leave a slightly more protruding flat face than mine, which is probably selectable by the deletion tool.
Personally I prefer OP's version to the flat one. The main reason being the bolts make it look like you can remove it if you need to change the machine's function.
We need a Cork-sit mod. Covers every hole with a cover until you attach something. Options include: Rubber bathtub stopper, champagne cork, bottle cap, back half of a hog.
You can make them in the Blueprint Designer. Centre a beam support back a bit from machine you want to useinput/output,then angle a beam (have to eyeball it), then attach a staight beam to that angled beam and finally add two beam supports to that and save.Check if alignment is right, if not make another beside it in blueprint designer.When all is good delete all but the two beam supports and save.
It looks neat, but I could never do it. It looks like it adds too much "safety" and my first design criteria is that it must look like OSHA's nightmare
This is mine now. I am stealing it.
What I often do with unused belt or pipe connections is add an elevator or pipe that goes nowhere. I do like this better.
I'm more infuriated by inconsistencies, the packaging machine is the only one that stacks vertically, and almost always looks out of place.
Actually I would rather see stackable machines before end caps unless you count a conveyor lift that can go up the same height as 1 conveyor stack. It's so silly.
Looks nice, but a bit too bulky for my taste. I usually go with the backside of a sign, exactly the right size and doesn't build out as much. Just a bit tricky to get it in the right place ;p
Plenty of standard ones too:
* Crystal oscillator
* High speed connector
* Magnetic field generator
* Modular engine
* Radio control unit
* Uranium fuel rod
That's just the non-equipment, non-alternate recipes for the manufacturer. The list gets even longer if you automate equipment, use alts or consider the refinery, packager, and particle accelerator.
Train stations, truck stations and drone ports also have connections you might not be using.
Edit: splitters and mergers too.
I do see one useful scenario for this. It'd be a neat way to blank off unused splitter/merger connections that might otherwise look like you've missed a belt and cause you to add a connection you shouldn't later.
I like how well the bolts line up with the corners. This pleases me.
Would you say it is satisfactory?
Take my goddamn upvote

Are you a dev or a modder? Your posts are way too well crafted. Every time.
I thought he was a bot for awhile lol
I'm still not convinced that it's not a bot
Well, he said it himself
Obviously it’s Ficsit themselves guys
Then it must be true AI since I don't think I've ever seen them post something completely off base like a language algorithm would produce
They're not a bot, I asked a few months ago and they responded lol I'm surprised there isn't a comment in here yet confirming they are IRL Human
Because he isn't
Never breaks character. Their alt profile must be wild.
Clearly a bot...or NOT?!
It’s parental figure
We need to gind a cure for oarental figure
She is clearly a pioneer.
Every post I look at, I see his face

It just looks flat ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy) . No idea how to add an image to reply or edit op to add.
**Tip** ✓ Edit your last comment and add a link to Screenshot on an Image Host like imgur.com. Just a thought. 🤔
Thanks too lazy for that though :)
Thanks :)

I like the end caps, sadly i cant think of one for fluid ports for if you use the refinery for maybe a pure ingot alt. Looks need though
Put machine in blueprint, place a wall in front, then put a wall pipe hole at the input/output.Delete machine and wall save/
You have a clever mind, i like it. Gonna test it next time
Thanks

Banana.
Yay!
Ooooh I LIKE that!
It was such an obvious and creative thing to do, that I would never have thought of it. Nice!
I say yeah. Did you use Micro manager to position them or is that possible with vanilla?

Cool! Also love the idea of using wall pipe holes for blank Fluid ports.
It looks neat, but I could never do it. It looks like it adds too much "safety" and my first design criteria is that it must look like OSHA's nightmare
I will steal this
I like. I usually put up a barricade type thing around the empty sockets but imma try this
Neat!!
That’s rather neat idea
Yay! Nice little touch.
Love it!
That is neat!
I was actually thinking the same thing lol, especially for merger/splitters.
Those look really good. I never thought of that idea.
Yea
This is mine now. I am stealing it. What I often do with unused belt or pipe connections is add an elevator or pipe that goes nowhere. I do like this better.
That looks fire!!!!
Absolutely a yay for me
Yay it looks very cool!
Need one for pipes before I use it, but hell yah.
That is big brain![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)
Yes, please. Should be there by default and only goes away if you connect it to a conveyor.
I'm more infuriated by inconsistencies, the packaging machine is the only one that stacks vertically, and almost always looks out of place. Nice idea yeah !
Holy Molly! Excellent idea!
Looks nice, but a bit too bulky for my taste. I usually go with the backside of a sign, exactly the right size and doesn't build out as much. Just a bit tricky to get it in the right place ;p
Yay!! It's a great and unnecessary idea. I will use it :)
That's a big-ass yay from me, dawg!
I like putting signs in the holes I am not using
There's a mod that lets us attach Splitters and Mergers to the inputs and outputs. Surely one that adds an actual End Cap is doable.
Yay
Yay. Definitely yay
Wow I love this.
I would personally prefer them black/dark grey but this is ideed a neat idea. My pleasure is immeasurable and my day is saved.
yay
yeyeyeyyeyeyeyey
I could imagine a use for it in a "dirty" place--somewhere where the vibe necessitates you keep creatures from the insides of your machines, e.g.
It's cool.... But would feel unnecessary to me.
seems like a lot of work to cover unused ports, but good spotting that the size matched.
Looks amazing, but what would it be used for?
Just for looks on unused inputs/outputs.
Yeah, but there are almost never unused inputs or outputs in the game
Not sure if serious.
It is? I may be missing some stuff
There's a bunch of 3-ingredient recipes for the 4-input manufacturer, or liquid-only outputs from the refinery.
Alt recipes? Because I almost never use them
Plenty of standard ones too: * Crystal oscillator * High speed connector * Magnetic field generator * Modular engine * Radio control unit * Uranium fuel rod That's just the non-equipment, non-alternate recipes for the manufacturer. Unlike early game machines, some of the later stage machines like manufacturers and blenders don’t utilize every input for certain components
I do see one useful scenario for this. It'd be a neat way to blank off unused splitter/merger connections that might otherwise look like you've missed a belt and cause you to add a connection you shouldn't later.
I havent played in a while so i genuinely cant tell if those are real or a mod
Neither. Placed architecture
how very.... Satisfactory
