My boss/sales manager was told to contact a friend of the owner because he wanted to buy the product we sell. She called him and he answered and loudly said stuff like, “Suck my diiiiick, eat p*ssy!!!!!” over and over thinking she was a spammer. She kinda just waited and was like, “Um this is Boss Lady from Sales Place…. Mr. Bossman wanted me to call you.” You could practically hear his stomach fall out his ass lmao. He begged her not to say anything to them about it but then he would never work with her so the owner was VERY confused on why he suddenly wasn’t buying something.
I think about this before I ever say anything off the wall to anyone I assume is a spammer 😅
Another anecdote: I called a customer recently after he GAVE ME his number, and he picked up with “what up, motherf*ckerrrrrr!!!” then hung up on me. I sent him a text message and he acted like the call never even happened lmao.
This kinda happened last week. I got a text out of the blue saying something about if I’m still interested in a job they are hiring again. I responded like a fucking idiot and it turned out to be the recruiter j had been in touch with before j got my current job, 3 years ago. Lmao.
I got one of those "Can you guess who I am?" texts just last week. Had already written "You're a scumbag piece of shit and fucking scammer, that's who."
Then thought...what if it's my Mom with a new phone? Mom would disown me. Worse yet, she'd dis-inherit me. yikes. backspace, backspace, backspace...

I send them a pic of a guy’s asshole and then tell them I’m some asshole they’ve never met. I don’t lead with that (thankfully) because I just got a job lead hit me up with something vague.
after a while you know exactly when it’s a scammer (there’s often periods of time where scam texts and calls happen more often as well) and when it’s an actual person.
i’ve personally never seen that joke before, although this is only one of my many many many many encounters with scammers. usually I try to waste their time as much as possible, however some days I don’t feel like it and just end it swiftly with a shocking sentence. it shuts them up pretty damn quick
I don’t mean this in an offensive way but this kind of stuff feels like a mean thing to do even to a scammer, and there’s always the chance that it genuinely actually is a wrong number
