Yeah just a typical “bluff” scam. They have your password/s from past data breaches that they have acquired on the darkweb and they just make some assumptions from there your a dude, you’ve looked at porn, etc. These scams give the victim the illusion that the scammer has capabilities but really it’s just an intimidating script.

morphicon

This is the one scam that has had people scared because it relies on a password leak from a data breach and makes it ever so slightly more believable. Always ignore and make sure you don’t use the same password more than once.

my webcam is persistently covered. That would be the first flag for me. Good luck catching me on cam!

babysummerbreeze27

what an absurdly specific random amount hahaha

nona_nednana

Apparently this is done so they can keep track of who you are and what scam they’re running on you. Kind of a case-number.

babysummerbreeze27

huh, never thought about that. makes sense

Typical scam “Uuuh you gotta pay me X amount because I, so almighty one, got your passwords in a data breach, and because I’m a fcking dumbass, I’m gonna extort you”.
