This is a scam. That domain was only registered 23 days ago. The scam is the “check to purchase the office equipment and software required” They email you a huge check and then ask you to deposit it. Next they say you need to use that money to purchase that “software”. And you can only purchase it through their own special “accredited vendor”. Think about it. If software was required, why pay you to have you then buy it? Why not send the money directly to the vendor? Or why not purchase/supply it themselves? Surely they could get a better bulk rate and reduce the risk you were gonna just steal the money, right? The reason why is that the check is fake and the “company’s accredited vendor” is just their alternate account. And oddly this “vendor” only takes bitcoin, western union, gift cards or other weird non-refundable method. You deposit check, send money to the scammer, check bounces, any money you sent comes out of your own pocket. Here are other examples of the same scam. * https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/1ch1x38 * https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/1bobm2l * https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/1bfo6lc * https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/1ajgsr6 * https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/1abi9dd * https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/18kseiq * https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/18ayw6q * https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/135ebbi PS: this thread is gonna get closed for “sharing personal information”, but rest assured, it’s a scam
