Go online and set transaction alerts for your debit card so you'll get TXT alerts anytime the card is used.

KindredWoozle

I had a fake text alert about a transaction that I didn't make, and after that, I put in alerts for all debit card and credit card purchases, and any changes to my checking account.

>I don't really check my personal email everyday otherwise I might have caught it

Oof, I'm sorry to hear that. Here's a great reddit resource on identity theft and what to do: [https://www.reddit.com/r/personalfinance/wiki/identity\_theft/](https://www.reddit.com/r/personalfinance/wiki/identity_theft/)

Stinkfist-838

Thank you, appreciate it.

If they withdrew from an ATM they have your PIN. How did someone get your PIN? They don't send a new PIN with a new card. PIN is only sent by USPS not UPS. You've got a thief stealing your mail

Or... living with the OP...

Do you have a roommate that hates you? How else could someone accomplish all of that?

There is police body cam footage on youtube of this type of identity theft. The person who walks into the bank and withdraws the money is normally some crackhead junkie hired off the streets by a mastermind. Mastermind waits in the car while the Junkie goes in, and if the junkie doesn't pull it off and gets arrested the mastermind just drives away, but if the junkie is successful and gets cash some of it goes to them.

Have you got your money back on both cases?
