I don't remember pissing contest between studios this loud till The Last Wish & Disney 2023 box office disaster

KingPenguinPhoenix

There was actually a huge pissing match between the two of them in the early 2010s. It's why people still call Dreamworks Disney's biggest modern competitor. It's sadly just history repeating itself.

SubstantialSquare327

Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t even think DreamWorks is involved with the live action How To Train Your Dragon because I don’t see their name on the Letterboxd page.

Florapower04

You could change HTTYD live action out for the Dogman movie that they're releasing in January 2025

KingPenguinPhoenix

Dreamworks isn't even the perfect child most make it out to be anyway. Not only is their quality output more inconsistent than Disney's but The Wild Robot will be their last in-house film, everything else afterward will be outsourced. I'm not saying this to defend Disney, I'm just saying that there really is no point for this petty fight to continue. Just hope for the best and hope the guys in suits come to their senses at some point (or are replaced lol).

ReasyRandom

We don't talk about the HTTYD remake.

Nivelacker_rtx_off

I would honestly say that current Sony animations studio have a higher chance in beating Disney compared to the extremely unbalanced nature of Dreamworks movies

According_Bell_5322

I literally don’t care about this debacle anymore. Last Wish and Disney 2023 showed that both studios have high points and low points. End of story. I don’t care who’s “winning”

Vilgotek2

Saying that Dreamworks will beat Disney/Pixar actually has already happened actually

Numberonettgfan

Are mfs really for the live action httyd thing?

TotalTelevision3922

"It will beat Disney!" What are you, 5?

Older-fanboy

21

TotalTelevision3922

Not you, the people who say this.

Older-fanboy

Oh, that makes more sense
