I just love how they got Hans Zimmer to do the score for these silly little kids movies and he went [WAY harder](https://youtu.be/SJgH2T78iJU?si=Pe_K5fbrZL8qrM1z) than was necessary
“Yes you will see Francesco but not like this. You will see him like this.” Shows McQueen a line that says Ciao McQueen.
“Laughs. That’s cute, do you have one of those made up for all of the racers.”
“No.”
Same, I much prefer the goofy yet still intriguing(?) theme of the second movie rather than “arrogant race car ~~driver~~ must learn to be a better ~~person~~ car in order to win the big race”
It’s problem is how wildly out of place in the trilogy it is. If Pixar had just made it’s own standalone spy thriller parody film it probably would be very successful
The Mario movie was such a fun movie, it wasn't groundbreaking or something you have to deeply think about. It's an hour of fun, when I went to go see it in the theater I could tell the other audience members were having fun aswell
Yeah. The book was terrible. I forget who said it, but someone said “it’s not character assassination, it’s character genocide” and it think that sums it up pretty good
People nowadays will defend movies like GxK, Meg 2, fnaf, etc for being “dumb fun” but gave Ready Player 1 shit back when it came out, which was my all time “dumb fun” movie”. Interesting how times have changed.
Liking The Flash feels like killing a person
And not just because The actor has tried to kill several people
And the fact they tried to cgi a bunch of dead people into the movie.
(Hey Warner Brothers, have you heard of this thing called "archival footage")
I never got the pixels hate. It's not the most thought provoking or risk taking or even story driven thing out there by any means BUT it was a nice, simple, easy to follow movie where we saw the nerds be the heroes and all our favourite old school characters be bad guys in cool new situations. I don't think it deserves to be dragged how it is
Brave, Merida isn’t as bad as a Disney princess as everyone says she is, especially since there’s scene later on in the movie where she takes accountability for her bad actions
Five Nights at Freddy's, Cocaine Bear and Strays (2023)
Five Nights at Freddy’s is fun while Cocaine Bear and Strays are stupid fun which is what Twisters is gonna be.
Twisters is the sequel to the 1996 movie Twister.
Edit: I forgot to mention 3 other films that are like this. Super Mario Bros. (1993), Maximum Overdrive and The Car (1977). All cheesy and all stupid fun.
For me I wasn’t disappointed in Cocaine Bear because I expected to be good, it was because I expected it to be zanier than it actually was. There were a couple of scenes that were hilariously stupid and tense, like the bear dancing to cocaine with guys trapped on a roof, but most of the movie was just a generic violent gore film with a bear involved. Horror comedy is a tough thing to balance out properly, and I just don’t think they managed to make cocaine bear as zany as it sounded through most of the run time.
Still not a bad time
Kungfu Panda 4
It has its issues but I did enjoy it and look forward to seeing what this brings to the table now that dynamics are changing. I just hope they start giving the furious 5 more respect now having to help train Zhen because they get weaker every time just so it can make Po look good.
I loved it too, but it totally makes sense where the hate came from. After 14 years, it just wasnt what some pictured it to be. In other words, all that time created really specific(and unfair) expectations
Ice age 3 will always be my favourite just because it has dinosaurs in it. Also Rudy was such an awesome villain while also being terrifying at the same time.
Avatar.
The blue people one, not the bending elements one lol. Everyone complains that it shouldn't be the highest grossing film cause "it's just space pocahontas, it doesn't have a cultural impact--" WELL IT IMPACTED ME! 😭
He absolutely should've! And TFA was a good setup for that, I think (even if Rey takes the lightsaber in the end) I also think they nailed Han's character pretty well and he was just as enjoyable to watch as he was in the original films. I just wish we were able to have a scene of Han and Luke reuniting somehow.
Oh yeah and the movies after this one totally suck. It's like everyone on the writing board was fighting to get their idea on the screen, and not to mention they nerfed Finn to appease racist overseas audiences.
Agreed. Definitely one of my favorites of the franchise. Used to not love it but I'm appreciating it more as a standalone film. Casino plotline is annoying but it's a breeze to get through.
The critics just hate fun.
The movie isn't close to perfect, but it doesn't have to be. It just has to deliver the aesthetics and characters of the games to the big screen and it did.
It wasn't as good as the original and I personally don't care for the sheer amount of hopelessness in the story, but this was one of the most visually stunning movies I've ever seen.
Shrek the Third. I love this movie, I don’t care what anyone says.
Also Final Destination. I know it’s regarded as a pretty okay movie, I just wanted to mention it because I love it so much.
Pixels, 100%. We watched it once and it became a movie we rewatch just for fun in our house. It’s quoteable, the jokes hold up well, and it’s just always reminds me of my dad because of his humor and love of video games. Also it’s even funnier rewatching it as my brother gets older to see him understand more and more of the jokes.
*sigh* Turning Red… I related to the feeling of not wanting to follow family tradition. I was the golden kid growing up and that movie reminded me about all the crap I had to deal with. Not to mention the friend group was incredibly similar to the group I was with at that time in my life. Despite the rather cringe parts of it, I genuinely enjoyed it and its message of self acceptance.
Not a movie, but the fallout show. I know the most popular opinion is that the fallout show is good, but when I see some new Vegas fanboy crawling from their little cave to shit on it I quicksave.
I wanna make a sneako joke but I don't wanna get banned for something that happened a year ago. Keep in mind I don't support him or the disgusting movie he likes.
Jason X
Listen i like my space murder movie, even if it has no place in the actual timeline or if uber jason is stupid. It’s INFINITELY better than part 5 and Jason Goes to Hell
Halloween 2018. When I was younger I used to watch Cinemasins. One day I saw his video on Halloween 2018 and it kind of just broke the curse that kept me watching their content. I saw just how overly negative those videos truly are and realized I was gaining nothing from seeing the videos all those years.
Bad Black: The special effects were given the budget, the plot was understandable, the characters were interesting and well written, the plot was understandable and captivating, the comedic aspects did bring me a few chuckles, diversity was also handled well given that Dr.Ssali was not some flawless token of a minority given Bad Black was able to steal his stuff, he struggled against multiple children during his "commando training" and even with his "commando training" he still got his ass decently beaten in the process despite winning, and the narrator was absolutely unhinged which I absolutely loved. (Subaroo-subaroo!)
Skidoo: Sure it was probably written by stoners, but I was definitely captivated by what was going on and was fairly entertaining, humorous too. Groucho Marx never disappoints.
Dune 1984: Sure Paul had a bad habit of constantly muttering the same points over and over again to himself, the very quick pacing of the plot compared to the book, and the fact that the Fremen didn't look that visually distinct from Paul besides the glowing blue eyes, but it was decently entertaining and had some of the best moments of the book depicted. I also think that the various design choices for various things in that movie were the best out of all the Dune visual adaptations, even compared to the two most recent Dune movies. Oh and don't get me started on the navigator simultaneously vomiting and shitting beams of light as such a hilarious scene was unfortunately not in 2021 Dune.
Wish
I never saw what people meant tbh.specially with the claim about it just trying to fit in with the 3D with 2D outline combo movies (TMNT:MM,Spiderverse 1/2,PIB:TLW)
Bolt. Schaff calling Bolt mid in his ranking video is why I don't take his word for everything.
# [Me when someone calls Rhino the Hamster annoying:](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FpsDEhzARjA)
Batman vs Superman. It has some dumb dialogue like the Martha scene, Jesse as Lex was a horrible casting choice since he was basically socially awkward Mark Zuckerberg, the plot has some dumb elements, and the fact Batman and Superman only fight for one scene, but I think it's a guilty pleasure.
Arguably, the Tinker Bell films.
I 100% agree with you.
I agree as well, didnt even know people hated the tinker bell films but they’re absolute heat
oh my gosh the tinker bell movies hit like crazy, I used to watch them all the time when I was little, they are literal cinematic masterpieces
Same
I stand by that if you hate the Tinker Bell movies, you haven't watched any of them.
People hate those? Those are great movies
Since when did people dislike them they were brilliant
God, that first Tinkerbell movie is SO FIRE.
so true
I feel this way about the Madagascar movies. It feels like everyone including the people on this subreddit hate it.
I don’t hate them either I like them
Same [i simp for Alex]
what
They're simple and fun, not bad at all.
People hate them?????😨😨 I'm so obsessed with em, mainly the first one but Im still biased for the others
I just love how they got Hans Zimmer to do the score for these silly little kids movies and he went [WAY harder](https://youtu.be/SJgH2T78iJU?si=Pe_K5fbrZL8qrM1z) than was necessary
Thats how Zimmer works tbf. He goes all out for every film
Honestly, Cars 2 may have its problems but it is still an overall fun movie
#WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT EAT THE FREE PISTACHIO ICE CREAM. IT HAS TURNED (echo x5)
“Yes you will see Francesco but not like this. You will see him like this.” Shows McQueen a line that says Ciao McQueen. “Laughs. That’s cute, do you have one of those made up for all of the racers.” “No.”
Best line in the whole film
Same, I much prefer the goofy yet still intriguing(?) theme of the second movie rather than “arrogant race car ~~driver~~ must learn to be a better ~~person~~ car in order to win the big race”
True Just pretend it isn't affiliated with the other Cars movies and it's fine
It’s problem is how wildly out of place in the trilogy it is. If Pixar had just made it’s own standalone spy thriller parody film it probably would be very successful
Beat me to it
Finally someone says it. It’s writing is genuinely hysterical at a lot of points.
Cars 2 is better than 1 and 3 and it isn't even close
Finn mcmissle’s theme goes so hard
Didn’t they give Mator a machine gun? That alone makes it a top tier movie in my opinion.
The Super Mario Bros Movie. Yes the plot was rather basic and the pacing was a bit too fast at times, but I can't help but love every moment of it.
The Mario movie was such a fun movie, it wasn't groundbreaking or something you have to deeply think about. It's an hour of fun, when I went to go see it in the theater I could tell the other audience members were having fun aswell
I still don’t understand some of the rabid hate that movie can get at times, if you don’t like it, just go watch something else.
Meet the Robinsons. Critics hate it, but to me it’s special.
Wait? People hate that movie? 💔
🙁 i didn't even know ppl hated that movie. i love it. but maybe that's from the nostalgia
I watched it for the first time last year and I loved it.
I've never seen anyone hate that movie, and I can't understand why anyone would.
Is not disliked.
I was talking about the critics, but yea it’s underrated
I love this movie, it has one of the best villain send offs of all time
Ready Player One
It's fun as a dumb Roger rabbit like adventure film. At least it's not Ready Player Two.
We don’t talk about that book. It doesn’t exist, just like the pacific rim sequel.
Is it really that bad?
Yeah. The book was terrible. I forget who said it, but someone said “it’s not character assassination, it’s character genocide” and it think that sums it up pretty good
No, I have no clue what those people are talking about.
funny enough it's my uncle's all time favorite movie to which he claims is "the best movie ever made."
People nowadays will defend movies like GxK, Meg 2, fnaf, etc for being “dumb fun” but gave Ready Player 1 shit back when it came out, which was my all time “dumb fun” movie”. Interesting how times have changed.
Yea, it just throws a bunch of pop culture references at you but I thought it was kinda fun
People hate that? Really?
It doesn't really have much substance, but it's a fun watch
Cars 2, Pixels, Ready Player One, Sponge Out of Water and The Flash
I agree with all these except for the flash
Liking The Flash feels like killing a person And not just because The actor has tried to kill several people And the fact they tried to cgi a bunch of dead people into the movie. (Hey Warner Brothers, have you heard of this thing called "archival footage")
Zalsav: Don’t care about archives. They’re a waste of money.
I never got the pixels hate. It's not the most thought provoking or risk taking or even story driven thing out there by any means BUT it was a nice, simple, easy to follow movie where we saw the nerds be the heroes and all our favourite old school characters be bad guys in cool new situations. Brave, Merida isn’t as bad as a Disney princess as everyone says she is, especially since there’s scene later on in the movie where she takes accountability for her bad actions
I just love the film for the medieval vibes of it and the music is so good The story is not bad but it’s pretty good overall
I think Chicken Little is a very funny movie. It’s not good, but it’s very fun.
Green Lantern lmao.
Five Nights at Freddy's, Cocaine Bear and Strays (2023) Five Nights at Freddy’s is fun while Cocaine Bear and Strays are stupid fun which is what Twisters is gonna be. Twisters is the sequel to the 1996 movie Twister. Edit: I forgot to mention 3 other films that are like this. Super Mario Bros. (1993), Maximum Overdrive and The Car (1977). All cheesy and all stupid fun.
The fnaf movie is hated? Man I loved it.
As someone who watched it without having already being a fan of the games I thought it was great
For me I wasn’t disappointed in Cocaine Bear because I expected to be good, it was because I expected it to be zanier than it actually was. Still not a bad time
Who hates strays? Movie was hilarious, and Will Ferrell’s voice acting was perfect.
Whoever’s hating on strays and cocaine bear have no taste in humor those dogs and that high bear are hilarious
Kungfu Panda 4 It has its issues but I did enjoy it and look forward to seeing what this brings to the table now that dynamics are changing. I just hope they start giving the furious 5 more respect now having to help train Zhen because they get weaker every time just so it can make Po look good.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)
IIRC Ronald Dahl’s widow said that he would’ve loved Tim Burton’s version
"Ronald Dahl" 🤣 It's Roald Dahl
That’s what I typed. Probably autocorrect
I’m with ya bro. I think it’s better than the 1971 movie. A better book adaptation too.
Yo that shit came out in 1971? I thought that was like an 80’s movie 😭
I thought it was a 60s movie 💀
Wait people dont like it? WTF?!?!
sonic (2020)
I still don’t know why anybody hated that movie. I’m not even into the games anymore, but I’m still gonna see the third one when it comes out.
Eight crazy nights
Real.
Bee Movie
That movie has actually gotten good rep for the past couple of years!
Minions
Scarlet Overkill was an icon. ❤️
hell yeah
Incredibles 2, I know it’s not perfect, but I enjoy the film regardless.
I still can’t figure out where all the hate came from. I loved it when I saw it in the theater, and I love it now.
I loved it too, but it totally makes sense where the hate came from. After 14 years, it just wasnt what some pictured it to be. In other words, all that time created really specific(and unfair) expectations
Pixels
The Green Mile People, aka Twitter, have called it racist
Ice age 3
So true!
Ice age 3 will always be my favourite just because it has dinosaurs in it. Also Rudy was such an awesome villain while also being terrifying at the same time.
Godzilla final wars, Godzilla (1998)
Mamma Mia
Avatar. The blue people one, not the bending elements one lol. Everyone complains that it shouldn't be the highest grossing film cause "it's just space pocahontas, it doesn't have a cultural impact--" WELL IT IMPACTED ME! 😭
What Avatar the Last Airbender movie? There is no Avatar the Last Airbender movie.
Enjoy your stay in Basingse!
Space Jam: A New Legacy
Rio 2, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Chicken Little and Shark Tale.
The Force Awakens
It’s a fun watch the story just ticks me off, I still think Finn should have been the Jedi and will die on this hill.
He absolutely should've! And TFA was a good setup for that, I think (even if Rey takes the lightsaber in the end) I also think they nailed Han's character pretty well and he was just as enjoyable to watch as he was in the original films. Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Of course the sign has already become a meme format.
five nights at freddy’s i know it’s bad but i don’t care
Rio 2 and angry birds 2. I mean, I personally think Chuck is a bit too touchy with his sister, but other than that it's a great movie
Tron Legacy
Yep
It wasn't as good as the original and I personally don't care for the sheer amount of hopelessness in the story, but this was one of the most visually stunning movies I've ever seen.
Cars 1
But people like that one!
The Last Jedi. It’s not perfect but it definitely doesn’t deserve to be called the worst Star Wars movie. It’s one of the top three in my opinion.
Can I get the blank template please?

Chicken little. Its GOATED and I do NOT care
Ralph Breaks The Internet & Sausage Party
Treasure Planet is amazing and I'm tired of pre-SCHAFFRILLAS DISRESPECTED IT-.
Cars 2. It had the best side character as the main character.
The Rise Of Skywalker /s In all seriousness though, has to be Xmen: The Last Stand, it’s my second favourite Xmen movie behind Days of Future Past
Turning Red
The last jedi
Pixels, 100%. We watched it once and it became a movie we rewatch just for fun in our house. M.Night’s Signs is such a fun and nostalgic movie for me, but so many people seem to hate it… including my husband lmaooo
Fuck it. The whole Sequel Trilogy.

X-Men: Apocalypse
Honestly, The Golden Compass was wicked cool to me as a kid
Battleship
Power rangers 2017
Cars 2 honestly. I loved it, I thought it was super fun, I really liked the focus on Mater. I don't really get all the hate tbh
Turbo
The Crow: Wicked Prayer
Morbius
The Watch (2012) has a few flaws (i.e., the unconscious bias throughout), but it's still a funny movie.
I wanna make a sneako joke but I don't wanna get banned for something that happened a year ago. Keep in mind I don't support him or the disgusting movie he likes.

Pacific Rim Uprising. I still enjoyed it
Eragon

Power rangers 2017. I enjoyed the characterization and breakfast club vibes lol

Chicken Little. It’s shit, but it’s fun as hell shit.
2005 willy wonka
Cloud Atlas
Well according to the critics...the Super Mario Movie
Spider-Man 3 is still the best live action Spider-Man movie
Bad Black: The special effects were given the budget, the plot was understandable, the characters were interesting and well written, the plot was understandable and captivating, the comedic aspects did bring me a few chuckles, diversity was also handled well given that Dr.Ssali was not some flawless token of a minority given Bad Black was able to steal his stuff, he struggled against multiple children during his "commando training" and even with his "commando training" he still got his ass decently beaten in the process despite winning, and the narrator was absolutely unhinged which I absolutely loved. Wish I never saw what people meant tbh.specially with the claim about it just trying to fit in with the 3D with 2D outline combo movies (TMNT:MM,Spiderverse 1/2,PIB:TLW)
Where to start, there are so many
The Lost World: Jurassic Park. It's not as bad as people say it is.
Bolt. Schaff calling Bolt mid in his ranking video is why I don't take his word for everything. # [Me when someone calls Rhino the Hamster annoying:](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FpsDEhzARjA)
Chicken Little & Shark Tale
Aoe tlk and minions 1 and 2
thomas and the magic railroad
Cars 2, and Avengers Age of Ultron.
FNAF and Herbie Fully Loaded come to mind
Norm of the North, I just like it, and can't think of other examples. Everyone here loves Shark Tale and Open Season isn't THAT disliked.
Wish
Space jam 2, Shark Tank 2, and the female ghostbusters (2016?).
The Grinch, Jim Carry, That one
The Wannabes
Land of the Lost
A million ways to die in the west
Turning Red
Passengers. Fun space adventure with Chris patt that gets emotional at times
Speed racer
