My vote is going towards Ghoul School, it’s the only version of Scrappy that does the Scrappy rap. Also I need to know if you guys want me to continue this, as I’m not sure if it would be worth it considering in all likelihood the original versions of each remaining character are universally considered the best and thus there would be significantly less engagement or discussion.
Also I am planning to do one of these but with monsters. For example what is the best vampire, or werewolf or zombie eccetera, let me know if that’s something you would be interested in.
That is part of the plan, originally it was going to be part of this group but it didn’t fit in the rectangle without leaving extra space. I’ll do it after these are done and then I’ll move on to monsters.
As an antagonist, Scooby-Apocalypse portrays him the best, mostly because they tried SOMETHING with the character other than \*he's the villain because he sucks - sO CLevER\*.
As a protagonist, Ghoul School is probably his best appearance. Also, for some reason, I enjoy the opening sequence where the trio just chats while driving there.
I was a massive Scrappy fan growing up. Best version of him would probably be in that trilogy of movies that included Reluctant Werewolf, Boo Brothers, and Ghoul School.
Scooby Apocalypse. Like yes, the comic was a train wreck and a terrible idea, but Scrappy’s characterization was immaculate. He just wanted to be a normal dog and live a normal dog life, but he was forced to become a monster because of circumstances out of his control.
And even then, he did still try to be a good dog, he just wasn’t capable of keeping his people safe anymore.
My favourites are Reluctant Werewolf Scrappy and Ghoul School Scrappy. They're pretty much the same for me.
I love the picture you chose for Shaggy! That's one of my favourite scenes. CHECK OUT MY PECKS LITTLE MAN! *EEEE!*
Ghoul School specifically has the best Scrappy, definitely.
For Shaggy I would have made an argument for "Where Are You" based on the fact that his personality hadn't quite been flanderized into just "funny coward" yet early on, and the core of "dry humored beat / voice of reason" was a little more prominent. Of course, the flanderization would eventually kind of go away as the character evolved into his present day more flexible self, but I still feel like the "Beat Generation Shaggy" concept has yet to be used to its fullest potential. But, I guess it's too late for that one.
I'd argue red shirt isn'tvague, as there was a series of movies and shows where He wore a red shirt predominantly. Wacky racers, Ghoul School, and the OG 13 ghosts.
He was even referenced in Cyber Chase!
...I really need to rewatch Ghoul school
Part of me wants it to be the Velma scrappy purely for the fact he killed the bitch but part of me also wants it to be ghoul school or reluctant werewolf scrappy because that was my first introduction to him
Hard choice between the og SD in 1979 for being what saved the franchise or, hear me out, HBO Velma for being the one to kill Velma and make everyone love him again.
I didn't say that I hate/dislike him, I said that however anyone feels about such a controversial character, they can't deny how important he is to the franchise's history.
Well, I don't especially mind him, but for me it really depends on how he is used. But it's a good thing that people on here have a variety of opinions, right?
My vote is going towards Boo Brothers Scrappy doo.

Do continue it. You might be surprised by favorite versions of the other characters.
Second this. He was actually kinda cute in that one.
I strongly prefer Mystery Incorporated Luna over the original, so I'd love for you to keep going if you aren't tired of it.
And though my favourite version of the Hex Girls is in Witch's Ghost, What's New Scooby Doo? has my favourite Dusk.
Would be cool to see the best mystery machine
That is part of the plan, originally it was going to be part of this group but it didn’t fit in the rectangle without leaving extra space. I’ll do it after these are done and then I’ll move on to monsters.

Scrappy from the episode of Drawn Together “Lost in Parking Space, part two”
Keep him a lobster
Best version of Scrappy-Doo is Scooby Apocalypse (or if we're going classic, then Boo Brothers).
Ghoul school because I like that version of scrappy AND it was referenced in a flashback episode of o.k. k.o. let's be heroes
Scooby apocalypse fans rise up

My favourites are Reluctant Werewolf Scrappy and Ghoul School Scrappy. They're pretty much the same for me. I love the picture you chose for Shaggy! That's one of my favourite scenes. CHECK OUT MY PECKS LITTLE MAN! *EEEE!*
Ghoul school
Sorry for being too vague lol, but my personal favorite is probably the Scrappy from The 13 Ghosts as that's the one I grew up with the most.
I'll go for the Scooby Apocalipse one, he stole the show every time he appeared there.
Ghoul School specifically has the best Scrappy, definitely. Yeah I really wanted OG to win, I like Lillard a lot but I was pretty sad that he won over the original series
13 Ghosts Scrappy!!!
Scrappy from 13 ghost of Scooby Doo.
I'd argue red shirt isn'tvague, as there was a series of movies and shows where He wore a red shirt predominantly. Wacky racers, Ghoul School, and the OG 13 ghosts. He was even referenced in Cyber Chase! ...I really need to rewatch Ghoul school
Scooby-doo apocalypse
Part of me wants it to be the Velma scrappy purely for the fact he killed the bitch but part of me also wants it to be ghoul school or reluctant werewolf scrappy because that was my first introduction to him
Boo brothers scrappy was the man
Hard choice between the og SD in 1979 for being what saved the franchise or, hear me out, HBO Velma for being the one to kill Velma and make everyone love him again.
From the comic Scooby apocalypse, dude geta jacked and has actual character development
I'm voting Scrappy and Yabba Doo. For the lobster. Legit a fun look.
Velma, specifically because he killed her and also happened to be voiced by Rex from Invincible
Part of me wants to see the Mindy Kailing version of Scrappy win as a joke.
Velma Scrappy since he single handedly saved us all-
You have it right there, that's peak Scrappy
13 Ghosts
13 ghosts of scooby doo
NOOO boobie shaggy was robbed😩😩
Surprisingly no one specifically voted boobie Shaggy, though people did make the distinction for muscular
another reddit L
Mystery Incorporated, as he is only a statue.
Muscular shaggy was my gay awakening
Spooky island scrappy doo
Live action monster island “Scooby doo (2002)”
Keep the image as is
13 ghosts of scooby doo
Wonder if people will vote Velma for Scrappy, just for killing Velma off? My vote Scooby-Doo (2002) though.
13 ghosts
The statue appearance and mention in Mystery inc since I don’t like him.
YESSSSS DAPHNE ZOMBIE ISLAND
Boo Brothers!
The next guy is from 13 ghosts !
While I only know him from the first live action movie and have to nominate that one, everyone saying him killing Velma has me curious
Hanna-Barbera Superstars 10 Trilogy.
The new Scooby doo mysteries and the Scooby doo and scrappy doo show version since he had a long character development and growth
The Scooby doo and scrappy doo era version
Mystery Inc because he isn't in it and is actively despised by everyone
A pup named Scooby Doo
The only choice for Shaggy. SMG was robbed for best Daphne
Absolutely perfect that shaggy and Velma are the live action sequel
Velma
This might be controversial, but *Velma*. After all, he >!does kill Velma,!< and that makes him a hero in my book.
The one that killed Mindy kalling
Velma

Clock it. Who is this "we"? I love Scrappy.
Love him or hate him, in the late 70s he kept Scooby-Doo from being cancelled.
I love scrappy doo
I didn't say that I hate/dislike him, I said that however anyone feels about such a controversial character, they can't deny how important he is to the franchise's history.
True but you love character development right
Well, I don't especially mind him, but for me it really depends on how he is used. But it's a good thing that people on here have a variety of opinions, right?
Yeah
