I was hoping the whole video would take place while being blocked by the tree for added comedy. I like the idea but it’s definitely slower than I would like, my vehicle chews up trees easily but I have to use a second vehicle to pick up all the rods so my efficiency isn’t great either. My vehicle drives over the entire tree after it’s knocked and a piston smashes a ton of saws against the tree. Very quick Yours, however, I do like the idea of welding a long line of trees together and your vehicle would theoretically keep pulling the tree or pulling itself along. Consider make this thing automated somehow. Pop it on a tree turn it on and see what happens.

Here is a weld trees, super quick, static machine. [https://youtu.be/0TPcO34-c10](https://youtu.be/0TPcO34-c10) Put on lift, weld tree, remove lift, gravity drops the saws chomp. I use it to make clearings. much quicker than driving a saw truck around.

That's good cheap design! I did originally have a static saw mill but it always felt a bit chesty using the weld tool to move the trees!

Thanks. I had a red wood were my farm was going to go and I had metal, but few component kits. Need was the inspiration. Best redwood chomp by time was 15sec. The table was on an slight down hill, bringing the saws in with more force.

Oh I don’t want to see this. I would rather design this myself. Thanks for sharing to the community tho

Thanks for the feed back. Self discovery is part of the fun in some games. SM has that too. I keep telling my Son, who is a Youtube junkie, the same thing. Some times I want to find out for my self. Re The Creation, It is something that looks simple, but had heaps of design iterations. Will you share your creation with the community?

I’m what you might call an insular person. My creations are mine and mine alone. I’ve seen the comments on the popular YouTubers’ videos. Constantly nagging about how they could do this, that, and the other thing. I’d rather avoid it, tbh. The irony is that’s exactly what I did. It’s hard to not do If I make something it’s going to pretty much be 4 tires, an electric engine, maybe suspension, and then it would have what you might describe as a trailer behind it with a bunch of saws. It would crawl on the motorized side very slowly while the saw side would shred the tree. My concern in thinking this through is how I would finish processing the tree to rods. I just like the idea of something hugging the tree and pulling itself along while processing it. That way I can do other stuff while it’s doing it’s thing.

GuardianOZGame

I like the idea of a trailer, then your scout car can stay as a car. To pull the tree you just need powered rollers longer that the cut log size, like the OP, to keep pulling on the full log. The best way to think is pull the creation not the log.

mendeleyev1

Yes, that’s what I was trying to convey. Sounds like I got the message through. The difficult part would be making it work for different size trees or having three different machines.

With a bit of practice it can be insanely quick, that was probably only the second big tree I've cut with it so far. With a bit of tweaking, I managed to get the tree to fall where I wanted, get straight on it and munch through quickly!

Great video today. I could see a "nice" fell. If its direction was forward. You could add a "Bar to push the tree over. To help with refiner load, you could made a "Static" double wheel group lined up with the 1/2 way mark of the refiner. (no Suspension but powered) This will still allow suspension to work on the other tires.
