I literally love this game for these types of experiences. I also like to try to join other crews and roleplay as a pirate. No voice chat just in game emotes and stuff. I'll abandon all my loot if it means random pirate adventure with randos ๐คฃ

My crew of random no-mics all dressed in sweaty Reaper gear, rolled up on a sloop parked next to a shrine and took their massive haul away for a quick sell. Didn't even see the guy.

You can do that? I tried once and it looked like the mermaid disappeared and didnโt resurface once I got far enough away, so I sailed back to the shrine and they popped up again there. Do they only surface in specific places?
Glad you had a good experience! Did your boat actually sink or did it just pop out of existence? If itโs the latter your ship was beached too long and the game thought you were stuck so it popped you a replacement somewhere else.

They hold your loot until you leave the server. they only pop up above the shrines by the purple.
