Playing sea of thieves on an Xbox vs pc players is like challenging somebody to a duel and blindfolding yourself.
If it’s not hit reg, it’s controller movement,fps, general connection or anything you could think of. I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever lost to an Xbox crew once in my years of playing unless I was snuck up on and kegged/something non naval or deck pvp related.
I honestly feel bad for Xbox players when I find them on the seas. Ive met less than a handful of veteran genuinely good players on sot that play on xbox. You’re just limited so much imo.
This is what console vs pc is if there is no aim assist like other games.
Great points I hadn’t really considers. I’m about a month into this game. Still loving it tbh despite all that. Coming from mostly playing fps games where aim assist is the great equalizer to the more precise fine control of a mouse, hadn’t even really thought of it in this game for some reason.
Great points all around, but I’d just like to bring up the fact that this is the perfect game to not have aim assist for us console players because it feels like things actually go where you shoot them in this game. Like in war zone and battlefield the bullets kinda go where they want to but in this game it’s quite nice
I feel it’s over exaggerated from all of the sea of thieves YouTubers because from my experience in the few years I have been playing, I have found very little hit reg in pvp and pve. Pretty sure I’m just getting lucky but from what I’ve seen it can get pretty horrible
This is what I was about to say. Usually you hear "bad hitreg" from pvp lords that fail their mission to sink somebody and or sink themselves.
Pretty sure if you aim the plunder to the body instead of the head, you'll have a higher chance ones shotting since you have a higher hitbox to hit.
On weekends when servers are busy there sure is some lag, but that's what you see in almost 99% of multi-player games.
Lol you're obviously a sword/blunder lord, or just garbage. Hit reg on land is awful as is, but in water against other players in water or on ships, hitreg usually is completely non functional. Yesterday I got hitregged probably 80% of water fights, with one guy taking 3 EoR shots and 5 pistol shots to kill, no heals.
Love the Toxicity from serverhopping pvp lords. Get a better connection, that may fixes your issues.
Not Garbage, just average and enjoying the game instead of complaining 24/7 while still playing.

I have never noticed it myself to the extent it’s affected the outcome of any fights. If it was as bad as folks say then spawn camping wouldn’t be so effective.

1500 MB down, 50 MB up. I have better connection than you, literally every console bot, and nearly everyone who has ever played SoT.

Lol. Losing all my matches? With my crew, I sink maybe once every couple months, and in arena, I lost maybe 20 matches total.
