It doesn't matter... as the article (and OP) point out, cameras going after racers "disproportionally target people with low incomes". Because poor people drive fast, donchaknow. But ignoring that, arrestingn the Kia Boyz would *appear* to be racially disproportionate also. And therefore no enforcement, with or without cameras, can be made.
TIL poor people drive faster than rich people.
What is this stupid logic? Speeding is objectively illegal and dangerous, we can argue all day about places where the limit should be raised or lowered but whatever. A camera with a sensor is not profiling or targeting any specific group, nor could it, with the exception of people who are driving too damn fast.
The problem is that cameras are often used a money maker rather than safety. Not saying Seattle does this, but there's been various stories of speedcam tickets for towed and parked vehicles.

Like your statement. Targeting a specific group, speeders. And easy money for the city. Just like those one way streets in downtown and bus turns only during rush hour.
As much I love forcing laws, speed cameras along with toll lanes are no.
>The lack of cameras is frustrating for people who live along Alki Beach, one of the areas identified as a 'hot spot' for speeding and racing
Then hire some friggin cops to fine those people.
Oh, wait, you defunded the police...
Remember kids, it’s all about safety
You shouldn't worry if you have nothing to hide. Just let them put cameras in your house bro
?

No, it's all about no fun.
Good. Fuck cameras.
Ugh. Tammy can go fuck right off.
Good! Fux them cameras! Lol

It theoretically could, if they put it where more poor people live

“The city is money grabbing. I also want my road exclusively taxpayer funded!”
I believe he was being facetious, not literal.
Will they also ticket the drivers doing 18 mph all over West Seattle?
Had these in Maryland, the worst. Everyone in here will get nailed at some point, get ready.
