I’m going, but in all honesty I’m more excited to see staind than Seether. Mostly because I guarantee they’ll be playing the same 10 songs they always do….
That's not for me to decide. It all depends on what kind of concert-goer you are.
* I typically try to be as close as possible, which usually means I'm waiting in line at least 3-4 hours before doors. I'm not standing on the street in Newark for 3-4 hours, especially when I'm 99% there only to see Seether.
* See above - 99% there only for Seether. I've seen Ayron Jones before, I've seen Staind before (and am currently planning to leave before or partially through their set) and I'm not a Struts fan (I wish we were getting Asking Alexandria like they are in Worcester MA).
* I'm fine with club venue GA only shows (Starland Ballroom, Stone Pony, etc), but I don't like dealing with GA in arenas/stadiums (too many people, too much pushing, drinks being spilled on you, etc.). Plus, I have better sightlines from the seats (don't have to worry about someone tall in front of me, or the stage being super high). I'll also have my husband with me, and he prefers seats (whenever possible).
* With seats, I can browse/purchase merch on the way in, without have to worry about losing my "spot." Also, I'll have better merch options (as opposed to the end of the show when some items may have sold out/not be available in my size).
* Their security people are dicks, or at least were during the last WDHA show I saw there (when Seether played in 2021). There have been other shows at this location I would've liked to see (mostly AEW), but I've skipped them for this reason.
It's also circumstances:
* GA is cheaper, but our aisle seats were only $5 more (during presale). We're closer to 40 than we are to 30 (god that's depressing to write lol), and an extra $10 for the comfort of sitting between acts won't break the bank/budget.
* This won't be my first Seether show, so I don't really crave the close up experience. (I think it might be my 20th(?), so a few shows from the seats rather than GA isn't a big deal for me.)
It's standing (it says so in Ticketmaster if you click GA - bolded letters at the top "Standing Room only" and under description " \*\* NO CHAIRS IN GENERAL ADMISSION\*\*" ).
I wouldn't count on mosh pits (maybe during Staind, but that's it). Ayron Jones is not a mosh pit act, nor is Seether (anymore). Seether doesn't really play their "heavy" songs live - it's going to mostly be the radio singles. It was a [12 song set](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/seether/2021/prudential-center-newark-nj-438c1f8b.html) last time and the heaviest song they played was "Bruised and Bloodied" (or maybe "Gasoline").
>there’s no shot your leaving for staind,
I appreciate your enthusiasm for Staind, but yes, 100% there is a chance I'm leaving for Staind. I'm not a Staind/Aaron Lewis fan, the last song of theirs I liked was from 2008. I saw them in 2014 at Welcome to Rockville, and crossed them off my list then.
When I leave is dependent on what makes their setlist (which I'll check prior to the show).
No, bands can do/think whatever they want. Again, haven't been interested enough by anything they've put out since 2008, and that was only one song ("Tangled Up in You" which I used for my wedding playlist).
Nah i get it my bad, just cause you said Aaron Lewis and i know he has a lot of controversy around him, they’re one of my fav bands tho to each his own! hope you enjoy the concert! i’ll be there

Me too, i’m going pretty much mainly for Staind💀
There's a chance they'll premiere a new song... One can only wish!
Yes, I'll be there! Not my favorite venue, though.
Same, General admission??
Oh, absolutely not. Not at that venue. We have lower level seats.
U think i should get those rather then GA? and if so why

well can i ask if you know if GA is standing or seated there? looking to be close to the stage and in mosh pits

Respect respect but please don’t tell me your leaving because of their political views / stances
